The Bochlwyd horseshoe is one of my favourite scramble routes in the UK! Even more so in the winter!![]()
I haven't, only really done Snowdon and a few of the smaller ones you can do on the way to Snowdon.
Unless you're used to scrambling with a dog it's extremely inadvisable to take one up crib goch. Even then it's not really fair on other people currently on thereOP, it's barely a mount, it's more of a big hill. You can jog up it in no time. Best route is over Crib Goch for at least some challenge to your trip. Enjoy.

Come on it isn't that bad. If you're not heading up Crib Goch then Snowdon is a waste of your day. All other walks up there are uninspiring and easy. He might aswell walk around the Glyders for some better views.
Who said it couldn't be easy? It isn't really appropriate for anyone to take a dog over crib goch in my opinion, let alone someone and a dog who don't normally do any walking
The dog is more adept than any of the humans at traversing ground, it has four feet on it after all. Just giving my well experienced opinion on the matter that is all. It's a grade 1 scramble, and that's if you actually intend to scramble and not just trot along the top.
Never done the Goch. How easy is it?
Trouble is always hike on my own, so no one to show me it. Heights don't scare me.
Is it easy enough if its a calm day?
There's an article on the subject from the British Mountaineering Council here:

In truth I'd recommend something like Cnicht or Moel Siabod as I don't enjoy how crowded Snowdon is.

Supplies? Water and weatherproof layers in case it turns. That's all you need.
Enjoy.
