Yeah the ending was a bit weak, tbh I'm kind of really bored of Daenerys storyline its kind of running on the spot - there is a bit of character development there but it never feels like its going anywhere - hope other developments tie into making something interesting there.

Yea I have to agree, always found Daenerys' storyline a little bit flat, it did seem to pick up when she first started freeing the slaves but seems to have stagnated again. Still I found it more enjoyable than the majority of the Bran stuff.

Stagnated is a good word. I like her story (so far) but it could have been shortened somewhat. Her story seemed to progress reasonably up until she had the dragons since then has seemed to have stagnated. I'm guessing the whole situation in Meereen is supposed to be her learning to rule and consolidating her power but how often do we need to see it.

Or not learning.

From what I can make out she appears to understand very little indeed. She occupies a massive city with a loyal force of only several thousand, and then expects everyone to love her.

That's not how life works, even if you do give people their freedom.

Hey, I did say supposed to be her learning :p

In fairness though how old is she by the time she is ruling Meereen. I have only read the first book ages ago and remember she is 13 or 14 I think at the start, so probably only 18 or 19 now (Though I get the series made her older than the books). So some niavety is fine but it is more the fact the story hasn't really gone anywhere.

I reckon there does have to be something re: Brienne & Pod - presumably she finds one of the Stark girls at last.... though not sure how well this could go down as it would lead to a confrontation with either Little Finger getting rid of her someway or a fight with the hound....

LOL it is funny reading back through the comments after the last episode. Much spoiler here ;) sad.

old post I know but wasn't a spoilers only guesses... especially since Brienne finding Ar|a and having a fight with the Hound apparently didn't even occur in the Books!

Anyway Ar|a is now in Bravos... presumably Brienne is going to rescue Sansa at some point this series. And going back to that post their first encounter indeed resulted in Little Finger getting rid of her rather promptly just as her encounter with the Hound lead to a fight... :)

Only just watched last week's episode. Wasn't very impressed. Felt like a filler episode or something. I haven't been drawn to this series at all so far. Probably doesn't help that all my favourite characters are now dead!

Needs MOAR Charles Dance!

A better episode this week. Picking up now I feel. One question.

At the end when Jorah grabs Tyrion, he says he's taking him to the queen. I thought Daenerys said she never wanted to see him again?

Hmm, he didn't say which queen though?

Nope, my first thought was Cersei as surely he knows what has happened in Kings Landing and now Daenerys kicked him to the curb he could be a knight again. It did occur to me after that it would be Daenerys but going to be interesting to find out where Jorahs loyalty now lies.

Thought it was an intresting episode too with the brewing battle between Cersei and Margaery.
