Possible Radeon 390X / 390 and 380X Spec / Benchmark (do not hotlink images!!!!!!)

To be honest, if the 390X delivers performance close to a TitanX at a cheaper price, and the Zen CPU's are anywhere near the IB / Haswell performance, coupled with DX12, it will be the first time in many years i run an AMD CPU and GPU at the same time

2016 onwards could be extremely good as a consumer with a lot more choice at the higher end in both CPU and GPU areas.

Coupled with the dropping prices of SSD's, the next few years i forsee a good future for pc gaming

Jesus came in for a bit of catchup and find most of the posts deleted, hardly worth bothering anymore. I'm off to Florida soon(this Sat.) so any chance the 390X will make an appearance and maybe I can save a few quid on the grossly inflated prices here and bring one back.

Sorta doubting it, if Kyle had the info on release it would be under NDA unless he's just taking a guess. This far out from release would they even have the info yet anyway?

Heck i managed to get it to match a factory oced 980 GPU score in firestrike and im not an OC wizard. Before anyone says anything i know you can OC the 980 even further but i find it pretty darn cool.

Yer, that is impressive. The 290X LE I had was a decent card. Not a great clocker but great build quality.

yes, it's easy to laugh at AMD but they do make a great card, i think we're all a bit guilty of this.

Nvidia are lucky, it's their reputation that carries them forward, because their cards are about the same ``on screen`` as the AMD...........unfortunately for AMD, the quality of the finished item is better with Nvidia, this shouldn't be a problem because AMD aren't exactly poor, but it does mean most people will choose Nvidia.

Mainstream card sized

A modern high end graphics card tends to be quite big. It usually needs two slots for the cooler and is between 280 and 300 mm in the length.

The Radeon R9 290X height varies between 114mm and 142mm and our sources are telling us that the Fiji XT card will end up much shorter than the 280 to 300 mm Radeon 290X.

Lightnings do really tame the beast in regards to the 290x, but the 3 slot cooler does leave issues for crossfire, i would love a second, but it would mean new MB and prob CPU. I think most of us would have problems and be putting the second into the x4 slot in crossfire. When the 390x lightning comes out, I will study very carefully the right combinations of hardware.
