Oh do come on

It's true! I remember you from the 2005 and 2010 election threads only and remember you had a full blown communist melt down in 2010 proclaiming you wanted total redistribution on wealth by raiding the bank accounts of anyone earning over the national average! Then you disappeared after the election never to be seen again until now!

I'm curious as to what you think of Labour this time round as you where defending the indefensible Mr Gordon Brown last time

Clegg talks a lot about a coalition with the Tories, his party members absolutely do not want that at all. The lib Dems approaching the Tories could make the party implode. Then there is the fact that they wont form a coalition with UKIP or DUP, so it would have to be Tories + LibDems alone which would be too short, or the Lib Dems loose even more credit by forming a coalition with the most right wing government in many generations. The Lin dems would be absolutely done for, they are supposedly center-left not extreme right.

Um... that was my point. Clegg is absolving himself of blame/responsibility. The result is in the hands of fate/the voting public. In theory, that means nobody can get angry with him for propping up the 'wrong' party.

If. You like I can start an angry exchange about ukip, and post a whole load of stuff but I am actually interested in what you think will happen.

Why don't you join in on the bet then that we have going on here if your so sure.

0-5 seats, i give Christain Aid £100, 6 or more and you give £50 (and i will give my bet anyway)

I know, I was agreeing with you

I'll be completely honest I neither have the time or the desire to research economic theory.

Fact is whether labour over spent or not, has no effect on who I'll vote for.

I'm a bit curious about the general point - why pick up on a perceived failing (of any party) which has no bearing on your thinking? Who you would vote for and why is entirely your choice, I'm just wondering why you (or others) would make an issue out of something you don't really care about.

seeing as sinn fein don't take their seats up they should be blocked from the poll imo

Bit late to change the polling options now, we've had four polls with the same options and the fifth was almost exactly the same. They've got the same opportunity to influence legislative matters as any other elected MP but they just choose not to exercise it - some other MPs have such poor voting records that effectively they're in a similar position in terms of influence, I don't think we'd want to try and factor them out.

East London Mosque campaigning for Farage's opponent in South Thanet. Slight lol that the Mosque is home to a "charity" called UK Islamic Trust, and I don't think charities are supposed to campaign for candidates.

The guidance from the Charity Commission does say that there should be no campaigning for or against political parties (or candidates) although it does also say that charities can undertake political activity which supports the charities aims. It will be interesting to see if it is judged that boundaries have been crossed and if so what the repercussions might be.

Makes a nice change of Muslims generally supporting Labour, which i never understood. It was Tony Blair after all that led us in multiple wars in the middle east killing 100,000's of their brethren.

Sent my postal vote off.

Voted for Conservative in the general, and Labour local.

Solely because our local Conservative MP is a right harpy who doesn't even live in the same county.

But Labour did like an open door policy to allow foreign nationals to come in whenever they liked with a liberal housing scheme. Very, very liberal housing system at that.

I'm pro-immigration, but by heck we need to sort it out. Make it a fairer system.

So you voted for the harpy, you really don't understand the political system do you?

The local election was for your council and the general was for your local MP. You really shouldn't be allowed to vote, I'm shocked at how idiotic your vote is, due to having no understanding of the system!

Actually it reads like hes voted for exactly what he wants? In fact, you should probably be taking your own advice...

No it reads like he voted Tory in the general, that bit I get, but then he goes on to slate the local candidate and says he voted labour in the local council election, which sounds lol
