***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

I personally thought this was great as the bags make finding the bricks less fun in my opinion. And it didn't really take much more time to build. Well I had one brick wrong and had to get it sent out towards the end but yeah.

I was playing with my mates sons lego the other day and got that pins and needles you get when you've been having so much fun playing with lego you forgot you've been sat on your leg for hours!

Having to open up every bag and then keep all the pieces tidy and together for 4 days was a mission. It would be even more of a mission if there were any of those little miniature person things about that some people decide to have. There called 'children' or something, and aparently Lego is some sort of toy designed for them? I don't get it personally...

:D

Will have finished the new TIE later today, but christ the wings are tedious!

Impressive technically when you see what actually makes up their construction as it's surprisingly complex, but so repetitive :o

Off to Bluewater today, seems a trip to the Lego store is on the cards.

Only thing is I can't find my VIP card, can I give them the membership number and still get the points?

Also any good deals on today, only thing I can find is 10% off selected Star Wars Lego.

Pretty sure you can give them your details and they look you up on the system. They've done it for my missus in Cardiff.

Thanks bud, I can confirm this works. Bought £70's worth of bricks for the kids.

We had our own dads club of around 10 of us drooling over the death star and tie fighter models. Each wife in turn came up and dashed the dreams away from us. It became a running joke for the shop staff.

One day :D

Picked this up from Tesco earlier. I appeared to have amassed £44 in Tesco discount vouchers so £110 became £66. Happy with that :)

One question, with some many bag 1 2 and 3s how do I know which bag to start with?

This is a brilliant set. Take a google the Ultimate version of this model, it's probably the technic build ever.

I needed to pad out a (rainforest) order to qualify for free delivery.

I might have used a Speed Champions McLaren P1 to make the value up. :D

I notice the death star has been removed from the Lego store now.

Only because there was only a few they were going to sell at that price. As far as I'm aware it's continuing. People have been saying since 2010 it's going to be taken from the shelves.

My son is 2/3rds of the way though his. Although it has some nice touches the build is a bit meh. Not one of my favs tbh. As it's a playset I'm going to have to re-order a few of the bits to glue together because if you fart in the general direction it falls apart.

Don't like how a lot of them are just new paint jobs of old figures. I don't want another Homer and Marge.

Will be selling off my set of the first lot of Simpsons I think, and waiting for the next non-licensed set to be released.

Rumour mill suggest it will be Halloween themed.

If alcohol wasn't an issue then Moe's would be brilliant and you could have Moe/Lenny/Carl/Barney, but they won't do that.

Best other one I can think of would be Springfield Elementary, that'd be huge. Plus, Skinner exclusive minifig, naturally.

Which should I get?

Imperial Star Destroyer or AT-AT (75054)? Tough decisions :(

Both released 2012 so probably be around a while still?

The AT-AT currently has 30% off where as the Imperial Star Destroyer only has 15% off. On the forest - might be cheaper elsewhere.

I prefer the AT-AT from a looks perspective.
