She's been in charge for eight months. Not really sure what you were expecting her to do in that time, given that her teams haven't had anything noteworthy to launch during that period. Turning AMD around isn't going to be a process that's done in a year. She was talking long-term strategy and the kind of market sectors they're planning to target going forwards. Banishing the image of AMD being a budget brand for people who can't afford the best is one of those goals. Nobody's saying that's going to be achieved solely by charging £1000 for the 390X.She's done fantastically well so far?
It'll take far more than just a 300% price increase to achieve that.
It'll likely be a couple of years or more before it becomes clear whether her strategy for the company has worked, or whether she'll be remembered alongside all the other AMD executives who've helped run the company into the ground. But, I mean, at least she's trying something different, right?
