***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

Everytime I see this thread has new posts I hope for F40 pictures and every time its people posting more bloody starwars or minifigs :(

*cough* :p

I do have this waiting to be built though:

I really love the Lego Star Wars sets but I absolutely cannot stand the Microfighters range. For the life of me, I cannot see why they're popular. The scale dissonance between the minifig and the ship just bugs the hell out of me. Perhaps I'm buing a touch anal though. :)

My office is about 3m x 2.5m and the Microfighters are the only way I can possibly get an Xwing, Tie Figher and Falcon on display in here :p

Plus I built them with my three year old son, they are the right size to keep his attention :)

[Edit] And they are the right size that I can allow my son to play with them and if he breaks them, it doesn't take too long to rebuild :D

Mrs and the kids opened the London Bridge set about 11 this morning

Got us all busy in the lounge now ...................

Legoland today for my 2nd visit this year. Back in again tomorrow too. Picked up the UCS Tie to go with the UCS X-Wing I got in March.

SO hard not to buy more when there. Even got 10% off the Tie with my Merlin Annual Pass as its not a "Hard to Find" model yet lol.

Does anyone know the name of the Theme that contains the Detectives Office, Parisian Restaurant etc? My GF really likes those sets and i'd like to start getting some for her. Im just curious because they're not part of the Creator Townhouse range, they seem more adult than that.

They're part of the Creator Expert range, at least that's what the girl at the Lego store told us.

My wife's built almost all of them. She built the barber shop whilst watching the Avengers and Star Trek.

I married a dork :p

My Lego related news:-

Nearly finished 42009 Crane. Only boom left to do. :)

Took my kids for a mooch round St David's center in Cardiff and walked out the Lego store with a Tumbler :D

Ordered the first 1936 parts for 10179 Millennium Falcon. :D :D

Managed to get these 3 2 weeks before they are supposed to be on sale :p There was also the new fun house, but that will have to be next months purchase, nowhere seems to have the antman set yet though, so will have to wait until that is actually released me thinks

Carnage set looked really nice in the video reviews we watched. Really wasn't keen on rhino, as a toy I must add. The ant man set has issues with legs I saw yesterday, so is being altered. I had to look up the story with the black suited Spider-Man, no more Peter Parker, ethnic spiderman, the world has gone mad!

;)

This new bunch are a lot better priced than the last lot to come out i feel, not overly keen on the rhino on the box, im sure itll look better built :p

The batman one does look good value, luckily my son isn't into DC, just marvel. Even Batman and superman don't interest him.

Thats all im collecting now, all the star wars and LOTR stuff has gone, have a death star and bag end left but they are special ones from each so keeping hold of them :)

Well took the Mrs and kids almost a day and a half to build (quickest time yet!) and I may have joined in for some of it ;)

First job was sorting the pieces

Rather than have to re-sort (or leave the pieces all over the floor all night) we joined all the like pieces together before boxing them up

Got the Ferrari 458 GT2 kit today, fun little build, now sat on my desk :D :p

Rubbish phone pics :o

Only real quibble is that it doesn't look much like a 458, still, it's a nice enough 'car' kit. The Porsche one looks much better, but there were none in stock. Might have to nab that one later.
