I'm a little disappointed with this season to be honest. Can't quite put my finger on it but it's certainly no where near as good as previous seasons.

Yeah I think this season has lost a little momentum, still thoroughly enjoy it but feels like it's just lost it's edge, though I sure we won't stay disappointed for too long. I think it's down to introducing so many new characters it takes an episode or two to engage with them.

The Queen of Thorns will turn it on its head and get Cersei, I actually thought that would happen last episode in the trial.

Tommen is annoying me being such a ***** when he has an army to sort it out.

I think she'll find out soon enough that she is not immune to the High Sparrows wrath.

***BOOK SPOILER***
She gets taken into custody by the sparrows and is physically and psychologically beaten, then paraded naked through the streets of Kings Landing. Oh and her head is shaved.

but then the whole queen and gay brother getting arrested throws a plot spanner in the works too

i still dont know what the real craic with that cult in kings landing is too. not been a great season for me

I'm guessing it ties into something in the books but so far doesn't really work out that interesting in a TV show - too many things contrived to make it work none the least the Tyrells have been built up to be way too powerful to be dealt with like that - they have an immense army on paper for one.

I don't know why but reminded me, the whole taking Loras and Margaery in to custody based upon his squires evidence of the birth mark annoyed me. Surely it isn't unheard of for a squire to have seen his lord naked at some time or another.

Now that you mention it, it does seem a bit odd. They do help their masters get dressed and into/out of armor etc.

I've a feeling they don't really care too much, Just needed an excuse.

The wanted an excuse for a trail, it was just an inquest.
So now they will have their trial, and the subsequent mess that goes with it, exonerated or not.

Interesting about the scene where reek tells Ramsey he didn't kill the boys, I actually don't recall that, probably as it was just a book deviation of sorts.

Has anyone ever asked George RR Martin what his deal is with rape/sexual violence? I mean, there is something every episode. Is it that bad in the books?

Its like it's becoming a cheap way of making the audience feel uncomfortable.

No doubt people will say it was a big part of psychological control in our history etc but GoT is another level :/
