sennheiser outlet silly prices

I'm unsure with them being refurbs but many in the headfi HD700 thread suggest at least 100 hour burn in. I know some people don't believe in it but just putting it out there :)

Even my SoundMagic E10 had a burn in period :p

Out of the box it was quite bright and feel a bit ear piercings...but after 20 hours or so that was no longer the case

Box is in perfect nick, looks near enough new.

Initial impressions, they are very comfortable and barely feel them on my head compared to the X1's.

Listening to some classic trance and immediately noticed the separation of the instruments and the vocals are clearly pronounced.

What's surprised me is the bass, I expected it to be almost non-existent but it's still punchy and not a downside at all.

I'm tempted with the Aune T1 MK2, it's relatively cheap and should be a decent replacement for the STX.

Looks like there'll be another massdrop for it soon, just needs another 27 requests :)

Can't not wait to get home now. I am coming from the X1 as well onto the HD700.

As much as I love my X1, I don't really use it as often as I should, as although I don't have discomfort with the X1, my head is a bit on the bigger side and it feel a bit tighter on me than the average people would I think.

I would just buy from the UK tbh. that's what I did.

For the money nothing comes close. It's a brilliant bit of kit. I had issues with the power supply/brick and the manufacturer sent me another free of charge.

Sod it I've just ordered the Epiphany Acoustics EHP-O2Di Dac & Headphone Amplifier from OCUK.

My sound card is sold and I needed something asap. It's not a tube amp I know but it gets good reviews for the price.

Thanks IT's a great product but some say it might be a bit bright for what you want.
