It's obsidian, unfortunately Westeros doesn't have many volcanoes

You can probably make it by getting dragons to melt the right kind of stone, hence there being so much of it on Dragonstone.

didnt jons uncle, benjen stark wonder off beyond the wall early on, then was never seen again.. so it could be him i guess.
My only concern is that this season has peaked, lets be honest here, the last 7 episodes has been fairly flat. Sure, there have been quite a bit of plot development for some characters but some have been static (Where the hell is Bran?!).
