He could be just as right or wrong as any one else in this thread.

If he's right Nvidia have an awful long time before their next launch. I can see the threads now... "Nvidia bang in trouble. Shares dropping etc" only I'll have a fiver it won't be Greg posting them :p

Nvidia do have a couple of wildcards if the Fury does turn out to be a monster though. They can drop their prices to increase sales, and/or they can launch a 6GB TX (980 Ultra maybe) to combat it. So it's not like their hand is empty.

I and you both know the fury will be a hit on the stats and benchmarks

;)

I do have a feeling that the Fury X will go toe to toe with the TX with winning some and losing others, so at least we can cherry pick benchmarks that suit but I don't mind that and bring it on I say.

Cheeky ******* but fair point :p

Pretty sure they already did that ;)

This thread is always good for a quick laugh.

As the reveal gets closer, time itself seems to move more slowly. I keep getting tempted by cheap cards on ebay but I'm trying to stay strong and hold on!

28nm has outstayed its welcome IMO but I am still interested to see what AMD pull out of the bag. The Fury X really does need to be something special to grab peoples attention and to prove that they still have what it takes to produce a powerhouse GPU that can trade blow's with Nvidia's top tier offerings.

Anyone want to bet on TX vs Fury X (top model or whatever it is) ?

Put money where their mouth is ;)

We already know the winner

2160p is where gaming is going

4gb of VRAM is not getting there at all

It really does not matter how fast the Fiji cards are they will not cope properly with 2160p until they have the memory to back it up.

For other resolutions who knows how the Fiji cards will perform.

The way I see it, if the GTX980Ti was in proper stock (with aftermarket coolers etc) there would be no one left to buy the Fury (X - Turbo- Light - MILF edition etc whatever its going to be called) par three or 4 people here.

I really hope AMD do something groundbreaking and I wouldn't mind swapping TBH but I don't see it happening easily.

For reference GTA V, Witcher 3 and BF4 I think are some of the most played games so I would like to see frametimes and min FPS for those @ 4K to decide. (If more than 4GB)

980ti, Nvidia didnt say anything no reviewers posted they had the card.
etc...

Nvidia is about to be owned big time.
it means buyers remorse is happening already its why you post such comments. Its called fear a primitive response. No logic can cut trough it either.

I built my temple and said my prayers and Gods has answered me with Fury.
I am worthy.
How about you?

Did you know that 99.9% of holy relics are fakes and the rest we are not sure about.:D:p:D

That all depends on if what AMD said about the framebuffer being wildly inefficient was accurate or not though. If they come out with a 4GB HBM and trade blows on games that apparently need more than 4GB on other cards we'll know it was accurate rather that just an attempt to placate the audience before the release.

Until then we don't know, its all speculation built on the existing model of GDDR5.

Unless the game devs are going to write games differently 4gb of GDDR5 will be exactly the same as 4gb of HBM.

You can not get 2 pints in a 1 pint glass.
