What film did you watch last night?

Cinderella

So this is how you tell a story that has been told a million times and some how make it magical. I don't even like the original that much and always thought the story itself is for girls (which it is), but when Cinderella first walk into that ballroom, the hairs on the back of my neck, and my arms, all stood up...and I had an enormous ...

Thank god you said grin

mad max - it was erm... ok the special effects were good, the story line was poor at best.

The film didn't really have any proper direction and the whole film was far too samey.

A 4 out of 10 for me.

Couldn't have put it better myself, it also should have been called Mad Furiosa, not Mad Max

6/10 from me.

Mad Max; got to be honest I was bored most of the time. I didn't care about any of the characters. Sure the visuals and the stunts in places were amazing but ultimately I was bored by it all and it needed a story or something to happen.

Mad Max says like 3 words; a bunch of Victoria esq models and a lad driving a lorry through sand for 2 hours with lots of same looking people with motorbikes and other vehicles jumping and shooting at lorry.

Finally got round to watching Interstellar, gripped the whole way through. Best film I've seen in a long time. A few days after still find myself thinking about it. 9/10

Agreed, fantastic film, but think

it might have benefited from a less happily ever after ending, he just happens to come through the black hole back into space, near enough to be picked up, and then he's fine? pfft :P

Watched Still Alice.
Very sad but very good portrayal about early onset alzheimer's disease. The ending was a bit abrupt and could have been better, but still worth watching, just don't expect to be happy when it ends.
7.5/10

The fast and the furious 7, if it wasn't on for some back ground noise i would have switched it off like i did to 6. These are truly awful films, which is a shame as the first few weren't too bad.

Watched Mad Max: Fury Road the other night. Didn't really know what to expect as I hadn't seen any of the previous films, and I'm not normally into straight up action films.

I really enjoyed it though, it was really unique I thought in the way the action was shot and the pacing of the film, which I liked.

The storyline and the characters were quite basic, but I don't think it was bad and besides, it wasn't really the main feature. I wouldn't normally say that, as the story and characters are normally all I really care about in a film, but this was good enough otherwise for me not to care. Which for me says a lot.

Oh and you definitely want to see it in the cinema, unless you have a 100" projector and 7.2

8.5/10

Fury Road is a cinema experience for sure. Same with Jurassic World. Of course they will be great in a home cinema but you really get the most out of them with the cinema experience.

Frequencies - tried to be something more than it was. 6/10

on a sidenote just watched episode 1 of Sons of Anarchy...thats going to keep me busy for a while.

Transformers.

0 out of 10, would probably even give it minus numbers if I could.

Absolute trainwreck of a film, started badly with the Ebay placements, lurched into an atrocious American Pie wannabe set of scenes, and carried on getting worse from there...
Seriously, make your mind up as to what you are: American Pie is fine if you really want, but do the whole film that way, not this mess please....

Some nice CGI, but not enough to even make me give it one star......
