Coming of age for the USA.

For them I think this is a pretty big deal, whereas in Europe it's not really seen as anything to get excited about.
 
Good for them! Finally a step in the right direction to allow people to be who they want without prejudice, although unfortunately there will still be hate from select groups. :(

The only thing that annoys me is when I see a news report about celebrities coming out as gay, imo this paints the whole thing in a very bad way and makes more people think its abnormal because its on the news.

on the other hand 'marriage' is a concept we humans have made up and defined ourselves - sometimes between two people sometimes between more than two people - defining it to include two people of the same sex isn't a huge deal - your religion doesn't have a monopoly on 'marriage'

I must say the whole thing over here and in the USA has not really interested me that much.
I feel there are much more important things going on in the world right now. This whole thing should have been a week of news and that is all.

Wasn't bothered about the rules before, nor now really!

I have the same views before really - Each to there own and cringe a bit at the Alan Carr few.

Exactly :) I hope Obama continues with America because from this side of the world he seems to be doing a lot of good.

I'm glad the supreme court did what they did because 1/3 of US States saying no isn't a majority. Should be overruled just as it was.

Sorry. Ignoring the gay marriage thing. What has America allowed him to achieve?

People still have the right to carry weapons.
His plan to provide an NHS style system was rejected. The list goes on.

I'm not saying he's bad man though.

To all the Religious fanatics, remember that 'God' created Man in his own image so to say that these people are vile and unnatural is to say that God created an imperfect being and thus is imperfect himself so...
