**** The Official Note 4 thread ****

No problem :)

Just be careful with modem/bootloader but that combination of ROM/BL/modem work fine on my N910F. Flashing the BL and modem took a lot longer than I thought it would (I interrupted the operation thinking it had finished twice :o - wait for the successful X/X failed line in Odin for anyone that tries :p).

Im almost willing to forgo this camera and screen and go back to the One M8 - touchwiz lag and random force closes are driving me nuts. The DIALER is lagging...its a PHONE.

I really don't understand how some are getting lag and some arnt with the same phone. Mine doesn't get any lag at all. Have you tried wiping the cache/dalvik cache? did you do a full wipe when going from kittkatt to lollipop?

It's more likely that some people are just more susceptible to noticing it than others.

I've seen a few other people who have used (or made videos of them using) their Note 4 claiming there's no lag, and there is, they're just not noticing it or feeling that it's an issue.

That's totally fine, everyone will use and notice their phone in different ways, but I've yet to see a single Note 4 that doesn't have the baseline lag. I'm always happy to be proven wrong if anyone with a Note that they feel to be lag free can show me it, but as of yet I honestly believe it's on every Note 4.

All of the above, factory resets, etc. Its touchwiz and lazy programming/QA. These problems never existed on Sense, nor stock... Samsung always nails the hardware...i wish they just gave us a "stock" option

One thing about that ROM I posted earlier, I think it's 5.0.1 so has the memory leak (UC browser keeps having to reload pages). I remember having this issue when I first upgraded to Lollipop and then disappearing after going past 5.0.1.

I'm running out of patience with the battery life and random lags on LP. i dont think im going to last much longer before i root it :p

Waste of time. If you want my battery life go back to KitKat. Until they fix the Mobile Radio Active bug on lollipop battery life will be poor when ever you are away from WiFi for any length of time.

No issues here but then I am running a rooted KitKat again. Cba with LP until Google sort out their countless wakelock issues.

Seriously getting fed up with this piece of crap. :(

Lag is just beyond a joke. Battery life is poor. Added to those issues there are a myriad of other small issues.

What really hacks me off is that I can't even flash a rom on here without voiding my warranty.

I don't think I'll buy a Samsung phone again, the lack of updates, fixes and optimisation is a huge deal breaker for me. Really frustrating, such a waste of great hardware.

I kept my note 2 for over 2 years and that's a long time for me, I was hoping the note 4 would be a similar affair but it's just not going to happen, unless an update is around the corner I suspect it'll be gone before it's 12 months old

5.1.1 will be appearing soon, but no idea when it will actually arrrive.

Whether or not it will fix the issues so many of us are having is unknown, but I'm not betting on it.

Personally I'll be keeping the Note 4 until later in the year and then changing. Quite tempted to give an iPhone a go, haven't ever owned one, so maybe it's time to give it a try. If not that then perhaps the next Nexus, or the Sony Z4 when/if they appear. Think I'll steer clear of Samsung phones unless the Note 5 has some very special changes.

It ain't coming at the end of the month, that's for sure. I loved my S4 until Lollipop, and loved my Note 4.....until Lollipop.

I've had computrace crash on me, I wonder if the crappy Note 4 is just EE customers??

If you like the note 4 (or 2/3) I would try an iPhone before you buy, my mrs has an iPhone 6 and it's very boring/basic, iOS is best suited to the iPad imo.

Agreed, I'm not tech enough to know if L brought anything worth the pain but I definitely don't think getting android updates quickly is a good thing and I haven't felt any update was a definite instant improvement since Ics.

M is around the corner and L still isn't sorted properly, I say end calender updates and just release stuff when it works which would make life easier for the manufacturers and please the customers.

Pathetic. Every time I think I get somewhere, 20 steps back. New POF2/5.0.1 ROM, decent battery/OST for the first part. Today, just over an hour screen-on-time, 54% battery. If I knew how to downgrade to KK I would. This phone and OS are a horrible pairing.

Flash KK via ODIN - I did it but it was more laggy than LP was on my 910C.
