Xbox one unfortunately :( got it as my mates have the console. Still trying to get them to grab the game. I got a cheap copy myself and will follow up with the legendary edition with all the DLC in September

In PVP they are still viable. I rocked my Plan C last night in Trials and it did a great job for me. It's like a shotgun but with an insane amount of range and no charge time with the perk. What is not to like? :D
 
The past month or so I’ve got to the stage with this game again where I just don't have any motivation to play. I played last night for an hour as friends wanted me for Trials which was the 1st time in a week I played it. I think Bungie listened to the community too much with this expansion and I think it backfired. I think the biggest reason why people played so much with the vanilla game and TDB is because of the grind, The grind for weapons specifically. POE is such a let down but mainly because all you have to play for is 3 exotics. But due to the insane amount of weapon exotics in the game now and the fact that you can only use 1 it's mainly just for collection purposes. The weapon pools are now too large. Not just for exotics but also legendary. This is why games like WoW have new weapon pools with each expansion and the old weapons are then out of date. It not only keeps the weapon pool smaller but also keeps players playing to grind for certain weapons and gear to help with the current content. Bungie listened to the community as they wanted to keep the Vex, The Fatebringer, Blackhammer etc etc so Bungie listened and now what seems to happen is that people use "Cookie Cutter" weapon sets leaving most of the weapons in the game obsolete. Even if POE did drop raid quality weapons there would be no need because why would you chase them when you have a Fatebringer or a Vision of Confluence? Bungie IMO need to get rid of the ascended weapon and gear route and go back to the way it was before to keep the players playing. Also the exotic slot system needs to be looked at. People on my friends list and myself quit before HoW came out but I have noticed even more on my friends list now not playing the game at all. I think they are losing a lot of players and even though the new expansion is on the horizon which will bring most back, If they don't change the current system even more will go eventually.

Just to note I have not been keeping tabs on what is in the Taken King so they may have already released some info about what I have written. I must say though I am split on whether to buy it as I feel like I’m done with it. I'm happily pottering about in Elder Scrolls at the moment which should last me awhile I think. We shall see.

It's easy if you've got a team of people that have done it 20+ times and know exactly what they're doing. Atheon isn't particularly hard but the three Templar stages are not a walkover by any means.

to be fair every end game activity is hard if you are new to the game and don't have max level characters or maxed out weapons.

That's not to say the encounter itself is hard - you're just not prepared for it.

With the right gear and character - vault of glass isn't hard any more.

Looking back through destinytracker I found my first proper vault run

people are now bored and getting fed up with the flaws in the game, no dedicated servers makes PvP a horrible experience most of the time.

PvE content is lacking and always has been.

they also need to seperate development on current gen and old gen. they aren't getting the best out of the new consoles at all and I feel current gen is getting a raw deal.

they are now milking fans and have blatantly came out and said that is what they are doing. what do they do to fix it? ask people to pay £20 for the dance moves instead of including it in the new £40 DLC.

your actually better off purchasing the new legendary edition coming out with all the old content than the new DLC alone which isn't exactly a great pricing structure.

they have proven that they are in it for the money now which has turned a lot of people away. they have ****** it up so badly it makes them look like cowboys.

they are meant to be the great at online multiplayer (halo) yet crucible is quite frankly boring now, the last iron banner was a chore. i didn't even bother doing it on my titan.

Last IB was a joke, basically a slap in the face before they ask you too pony up £40. Before the whole Luke thing and IB/ToO being laggy I wouldn't have minded paying £40, I get a lot of hours out of the game so on paper it seems worth it, but there so lazy and clearly just after money. Like we have 1 new PVP mode, which is CTF, no idea why it wasn't there at release. The other game mode is basically just change a variable for how quickly super/nades take to load. But we still can't have local games and what not :D.

The new PVE content is basically reusing all the same assets with a new skin, yay. Nothing screams too me it being worth £40.

I've personally always found the PVE content I bit boring, they play things very safe in destiny, there isn't a great story line, its not deep or very interesting I find and I was able to finish it in what 7 hours my first play through. For the amount of hype before its release I find it a huge let down.

After that you basically just grind strikes, again boring, like you have a few different strikes and thats it, weekly which is a strike just harder, and NF which is a strike even harder.

Crucible has been horrible, its laggy, they have so many broken guns and I'm 99% certain they leave it in so less skilled players have a chance, I mean it takes 0 skill to hide in a corner with a shotgun. Its also a real shame, at its core I find Destiny to have the best FPS PVP I've played yet.
 
The rng gods have been kind to me the past 2 weeks. Got the WoC and VoC. I also have the fang until the faithbringer drops for me. No longer feel like am getting carried in the hardest of pve content in fact been Doing most of the work in random lol
 
VoC is a fantastic gun, my go to gun unless arc or void burn is on. WoC I am not that big a fan of, maybe that is just because I am used to FB and haven't used WoC enough. WoC though is sooo much better to use with void burn than Atheon Epilogue was.

2 NF's done last night and got a legendary fusion rifle and a legendary hand cannon so more motes and weapon parts for me. Fingers crossed the third might give me something useful. 1 run through PoE didn't give me anything good either :( I suppose when I am only after 2 exotics everything else is going to be disappointing.
 
I got the U.remote, dragons breath and the bones of eao which I really wanted for my 3 nfs.

Other than that just getting armour for various builds

After a sabbatical away from destiny before how came out until week or so ago,I've been getting my head round the changes,most on my xone frs only seem to play in fits n starts now so any on xone want to add me gt ace919,just msg saying oc,only really into pve at mo.
Warlock halfway to 33,Titan also halfway to 33,hunter only 31 and not done quest with it yet.
If there's any kind souls fancy helping me on poe at 32 to get the armor cores I'd be thankful,done it with randoms at 28 a few times.
Am older gamer,not way out good but not bad with destiny,plenty of hrs before my recent break.
Oh and is it still case there talking £40 for next dlc? no new game world just stocking out existing for that? beyond cheeky really.
 
I cancelled my preorder for the DLC. At £40 they can stick it up their arse unless they magically manage to fundamentally change some aspects.
At £25 maybe I'd be more keen

I have a warlock, hunter & titan.

Across all 3 classes the only exotic weapon or armor piece i'm missing is Bones of Eao

Come on Xur !
