Witcher 3

Change the movement mode to Alternative in options, came with patch 1.07, it improved it for me, i felt the same and actually stopped playing initially because of it

How is the 1.07 patch? hear it is not good.
Mine annoyingly auto-patched yesterday when I decided to play something else. Not really played much of W3 since but got to say the QoL changes are really helpful. With stashes and zero weight crafting/alchemy my character weight is now say 40 below the limit whereas before it was always 20 below. Thats with a complete set of 2 armours held.

I find the pinning of single alchemy things when in shops pointless - I wish they had done it the other way where you highlight an ingredient and that informs you what its used for and in what quantities. You cant pin crafting diagrams which seems an oversight.

They messed up the inventory order, so used to the old one especially when having to sell stuff regularly. Books are separated which is good but they seemed to have (kinda) reversed the order of how things are listed now. This shouldnt make a massive difference but thats affected shops aswell - the one I found annoying is armourers/blacksmiths who now list all the weapons/armours youve sold them in the past first and then their goods...

Performance wise I havent noticed much difference other than what feels like micro-hitches when Geralt moves but that might be the changes to the alternative movement (cant really tell which one I prefer yet). I think pop ups have improved but not entered a town or anything yet.

The biggest concern is this patch breaks some trophies/quests (the Gwent trophy is broken in this patch AFAIK). Im looking to do another (quicker!) run on Death March anyway sometime in the future...

I went from having 0 failed quests to 2 after the update. Damnit.

Yeah I had 2, a dandelion quest that I missed and bug from the latest patch that fails reason of state quest as you start on thin ice quest, although that bug does not effect any previous decisions and end game outcomes.

Just completed the main quest and all I can say is, what a brilliant game, I got the best ending I feel.
Feel sad the adventure is over, as it just won't be the same going back and clearing up any missed side quests after getting a good ending.
Best game this gen so far for me!

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying. I used the pinning feature for the first time at the weekend and it was really good. I was pinning recipes for some bomb upgrades, so when I went back across to the shop menu all the things I needed were highlights and it told me how much I needed.

Well thats only useful for that single recipe - considering how many there are, unless you specifically need to get that single one completed, it seems a tacked on feature that isnt that useful.

It would have been more useful to do a pop up box against each item that can be bought when you highlight it so you can see what its used in and the amounts needed.

EDIT: Just realised I just said the same thing previously, what I mean is say you highlight the plant blowball to buy and it told you what x,y,z recipe/crafting item it could be used on and how many for each you need. If that amounts to say 30 of them then it seems worth keeping 30 while you sell off the rest. If you have things that serve no purpose then you could happily know you can sell them without checking everything manually. Far better than what theyve given now because if you are desperate to finish a recipe/crafting item you are likely to know what ingredients to look out for - having it pinned isnt that useful other than filling that dead space on the right hand side.

Ahhhh, ok got you. Yeah it was a bit tedious going back and forth, I suppose a quick fix to the existing system would just be to let you pin multiple recipes.

I'm torn now with new game plus. I can continue what I wanted to be my sole play through on Desthmarch. Or put it to normal and perhaps enjoy it more and open up the potential for another play through later on.
I'm only level 7 at the moment.
