Witcher 3

X1 digital here, downloaded on its own and just showed up as 1.07 upon launch.

Frame rate is pretty solid so unsure where the reports of poor console performance come from.

Whats the QoL changes like - worthwhile? Was mainly after the weapon/armour stashes and have zero weight for crafting/alchemy (actually having a separate book tab is a good idea too!)

Bit annoyed that the patch notes didnt mention fixing the Fools Gold quest bugs - dont bring out DLC thats pretty buggy CDPR!

I've still not got the update even coming up to be downloaded, let alone got to the point of installing it! :(

I want a stash damn it!

You have a retail or digital?

I wonder if sony are doing digital first, then will do disc to try save the PSN servers from millions downloading the 8GB patch at once.

Mine's a disc, so retail.

Guess that makes sense, just seems weird they don't state that it is their intention to do so.

I doubt thats the intention - probably someone forgot to assign the patch to the retail version and it being a weekend...

I dont think it has been officially said the patch is out now, it is a weird phrasing they use of 'rolling out'. The language of that makes it sound like it is being done in phases.

Xbox One digital here, noticed a few framerate drops but nothing major and not enough to stop me playing. It was only really when doing the Isle of Mists quest due to all the fog.

I hit 100 hours on this yesterday and I have a few more of the main quests to go. I've never had a game draw me in so much, I thought I played FIFA a lot, I have about 280 hours on that since last September when it came out, so for W3 to have 100 already is saying something.

I got a PS4 in the kerayzee deal on Amazon a few months ago (PS4, WItcher and 3 months + for £200). Loving the game, though it's got a bit repetitive now (I'm on Ugly Baby mission). I put it on Death March difficulty and really struggled at first, multiple creatures are really awkward though multiple humans are pretty easy. Once you've got fighting technique sussed then it's pretty straightforward. Loading times are a bit of a pain, but just try not to die. I try and draw most opponents away and dispatch as 1vs1.

A stash would be really good, constantly carrying around 150+ worth of stuff with a 160 limit. Annoying that all the armour I seem to have crafted is gazumped by stuff for sale by merchants. Also don't see any point in adding runes to swords or armour, makes very little difference. Some of the UI in the inventory is a bit clunky (probably why I need a stash).

It will no doubt appear this evening, requiring a 3 hour download on my 100mb connection, ensuring I cannot play until tomorrow night :-(
