Dirty Bomb (from the ppl behind ET)

Yeah I enjoyed it :) A game that you can just jump in and not take seriously or get annoyed at.

No clue about what guns etc. to use or the loadouts etc.

Runs superbly for me too, everything on max except motion blur and depth of field and getting 130+FPS constantly, I will have to find a way to cap fps though.

Reminds me of titan fall in a lot of ways.
 
I think the addiction is real boys :D Managed to get 3 lead characters and 2 special editions unlocked today as well. Not bad for day 1 of playing. Cheers Joe.

Best guns are M4/K-121, Kek-10, Dreiss, Crozni, Remburg, Deagle, and Empire-9.

Best mercs are Sky, Fragger, Sawbones, Sparks, Vassili and Bushwacker for the best mix of HP / abilities. Nader, Proxy, Rhino and Aura are a bit more situational and Arty and Fletcher are just kinda bad.

For loadouts you get Iron (1 augment), Lead (2), Bronze (3) and everything above inc Silver, Gold, Obsidian and Special edition cards are just the same as the Bronze loadouts but with "better" skins.

It IS an objective game although it takes a little while of playing to know what you are doing.
 
I'm impressed. Really enjoyed the game last night, and will definitely be playing more of this!
It's like the opposite of CS. Much more mobile, like an old school arena shooter but with the BF lols.
 
I'm still impressed by my grenade wall bang triple last night, possibly one of my finest moments gaming.

I like that you can end people with a knife also. I need to work out my key bindings to find some I am happy with. Thumb buttons currently set to the gadgets per class.

I shall be on this instead of BF for a while I think, even though I suck it is good fun.

*new chair being collected today, can't be sitting on a wonky stool again!
 
Well impressed with this, had more fun on this with TS lot than any recent BF game. Just gotta work out what stuff to unlock etc but that'll all part of the fun!

Yep - all the medics have a non-shotgun weapon as one of their options, you just need to find (or buy with money or in-game points) the bronze loadout card that looks best.

Which medics do you have unlocked?
 
I've only played with the default medic to be honest. I haven't played this that much but I was already familiar with the game modes from playing ET, ETQW, Brink etc in the past. With the default SkyFall guy I can do reasonably well as I've still got a small amount of my old FPS reflexes but I find the medic shotgun thing utterly useless. I'll have a look at other loadouts/characters, cheers :)

I actually haven't spent any of the in game credits I've earned yet...
 
Characters are about 30-50k credits, and you get Skyhammer and one other unlocked at the start. There are three others on a 2-week rotation that are available as well. If you think you like it enough to spend actual money, the 'starter pack' of permanent mercenary unlocks is quite good value, so you might want to see which ones are in there and avoid speding your in-game credits on them.

I too find medic shotguns to be rubbish (until they are used against me, at which point they become instakill railguns at all ranges, naturally).
 
So dirty bomb again tonight? Would be good if we could squad up. I don't see any point in playing with randoms against each other. I think there is 8v8 servers right? So plenty of opportunity for us all to get on the right team?
 
I'm in, tbh don't mind playing with/against you lot, it's a lot of fun either way.

Need to work on getting my aim up for headshots.

yeh you just have to go server browser instead of quick match

I'm in, although I installed W10 earlier so I'm not sure whether it'll work flawlessly...
 
I am going to wait a while before putting windows 10 on, too many people reporting gpu driver and game issues...

Also, I need to decide what I am doing about cpu & mobo as if I do get some new stuff, I cba doing 2 fresh window installs in the space of a couple of months :p
 
Doing my windows 10 install at the moment, been an absolute doddle. Everything looking awesome. So, dirty bomb worth downloading I take it?

Mine has still not come through - is there anyway to force it? Yeh it's worth downloading - easy game to pick up but has a high skill ceiling.
