100w Isticks on Fast tech

https://m.fasttech.com/products/1/10011027/2986100-authentic-eleaf-istick-100w-variable-voltage

Tempted as a cheap throw around mod, not sure I trust Isticks though

Interesting, I posted earlier about replacing my damaged 50w Istick, this works out around the same price as the Istick 50 minus the batteries so could be an alternative since I cant even find a release date for the P4U IPV D2.
As I said already the only issue iv had with my Istick 50 is that lately it has been a little temperamental with wattage and self adjusts when im not looking, it can drop around 7 watts but today it went from 23.8 to 25.5 on its own, clever little bugger lol.

To whoever asked about big clouds.

Imo. I think its cos they do lung hits as u get more cloud that way. Also as has been said they blow it to the camera so looks big. I think lighting has something to do with it too, tho saying that some vids the lighting is poor but some the lighting is strong and high and i think u see the vape better that way i think. Air holes on tanks i think are probs set to most open too.

What puzzles me tho is that some take a drag for 2 seconds and bellows of vape come out. No idea on that apart from that sub ohm thing and/or liquid mix.

Retailers are expecting the ipv d2 at the end of this coming week.

The istick 100w looks great for the price, removable batteries at last!! Think I'll grab one to pair up with my Atlantis 2.

Just picked up a Triton & some Charlies Chalkdust, from my local B&M.

Going to be fun cleaning the tank out :(

Any idea who has the rebuildable deck in stock?

Cheers all

I wouldn't bother with the deck. I've got one and it's not great at all.

Ok, I've been a smoker for last 25 years.. rollies last 10 I guess.. damn that Golden Virginia!!! In a dilemma, I have about weeks worth of baccy left, (folks live abroad so nice 10 pack bales with reasonable frequency!)but, no baccy on the horizon, and wanting to go the vape route for some time.. I need your expertise... right I smoke maybe 20-30 a day.. ideally I want a menthol smoke, not mad peppermint.. more a spearmint.. (less harsh) smoke if possible.. something that makes the mouth feel 'cleaner'? I'm pretty good at technical stuff.. used to use a vapo LS for example.. can someone spec me a nice vape unit, and somewhere to buy the liquids? budget is up to 100 bucks.. thanking you kind sirs in advance :)

Hi mate... if you have a look at the opening post there's links to recommendations. The only change maybe getting an Aspire Triton rather than the BV silo...

I'm having a great time with my istick 50w and my subtank mini. Should easily be under £100. You can wait, and get them from China. Gearbest have been great for me recently with two orders both coming in after only around 4 days waiting. You can save a considerable amount if buying from China.

That being said, there are so many good Temperature Control mods out there just now, it might be an idea to go down that route instead. I am always tempted by the istick TC40w : http://www.gearbest.com/electronic-cigarettes/pp_204289.html And will only be around £20.

The Subtank Mini : http://www.gearbest.com/electronic-cigarettes/pp_193601.html

TC heads I ordered from Boldvape in the UK and were around £11 delivered, but you can order regular heads from Gearbest at the same time, and they are around £7 delivered.

As for eliquids, I am a fan of Heisenberg or Red Astaire. Both have a menthol sort of flavour to them, but a little bit of fruitiness too. Both are all day vapes for me. And can both be bough as concentrate to mix yourself. I'm out of the loop in where are the best places to get liquids at the moment though.

I was a 20-30 a day man when I started vaping, and started at 36 mg/ml eliquid. But I wouldn't recommend that. 18 or 24 would probably be an easier place to start.

yeah sorry for not reading .. but 200+ page thread is a tad off-putting.. what are the main parts I need.. the last post talks about several different 'bits', can you buy a unit and away you go? or is it that customising gives a better 'smoke' ?

yeah to stop you wasting cash, you really want a battery device (mod) with adjustable power, and an atty with adjustable airflow... so you can customise the vape production to suit your needs. At first stick to the factory made coils so you will learn what the vape should be like and then you have experience to make your own coils.

Really the istick 50w or the istick tc 40w is more than you need. The button can be a bit iffy on the 50w one but it's considered as a throw away item.. it should see you for the first 6-12 months.. most people have/had one as a everyday basher.

Tank wise adjustable airflow is king.. there is a certain range of airflow for each tank that is adjustable thou. some people like really tight vapes and some like airly vapes.

With both being adjustable, you should be able adjust the vape to your needs... normally and istick 50w, set at 17ish watts with a 1.6 ohm coil on a silo is a great setup and mainly experience users that have high end devices (that cost £100s) still use it from time to time.

You will need to adjust them to suit the juice and time of day.

Juice wise, try RY4 which is a sweet baccy flavour or there's plenty of baccy menthol and fruit menthol about... juice can be as cheap as £1 per 10ml bottle or stupid prices, normally high end juices are consider about £0.50p per 1ml.

Best thing is to think what fruit you like and by some juice of that flavor.

With you being a heavy rollie smoker, start on 18mg or higher. :)

thanks for your reply.. do you have any links? :P damn I'm lazy.. whereabouts are you getting your juice? So i need a unit like the istick and an atomiser.. obviously some juice too.. then I'm good to go? I ideally want a unit that won't blow up!!! (that's the main concern from the missus.. lol birds and newspapers eh? always a bad combo!)

All vaping devices now a days are high powered battery devices and they will always be safety issues. Just the normal things apply...

Don't charge overnight.
Don't charge unattended.
It's worth unscrewing the atty from the mod when not in use for a while.
Lock the device when not in use.
General cleaning and looking after the device. (treat it like a mobile phone).

My istick 50w started autofiring by itself the other day but that was due do loads of juice getting on to the device.

Thanks for all the advice.. I'm thinking maybe going the istick 40, what sort of atty should I get? Is it worth paying more, like 30 bucks? I just want a nice smoke.. but like computers.. it's always nice to have headroom to tinker :P Again thanks all for the advice.. and lol @ how many damn flavours there are.. I could have a juice for every hr of the day!!! Something I was going to ask.. how often do you clean/change the atty? and how?

There's 1000s of flavours, stick to something simple when you first start and move on to complex'd later or for special occasions.. half the stuff you won't be able to taste when you first start vaping, and half the stuff in the complex'd juices, I don't know what they are; let alone meant to taste like.. lol

you wont go wrong with neither of them two tanks I've suggested or the new aspire triton. I don't have one so I can't really recommend it; but I've not heard a bad thing about the tank itself.

cleaning is easy, just wipe down the mod with a damp cloth, and clean the connections. with the tank, just flush it under water, I leave mine to soak; as I have quite a few. Some people use sonic cleaners.

I tend to swap juices (and nic levels) 3/4 times a day, but that's with different tanks. When you first start your likely to be vaping about 2ml a day.. so either tank will last you the day. If you want to change flavor, depending on the coil your using; you can wash it out or most people just pour the new flavor in and after a bit the new flavour takes over. The coil can last between 2/3 days to a week or so, again depending on how you vape and what your vaping, my juices tend to be clean.

It can become a hobby, people making their own devices, hence the term mod (for modify), making their own juices and of course building your own coil. There's a real shed industry with start businesses.. I saw a mod and atty sell for £900 pounds the other day and that was consider cheap for what it was.

Another thing to remember, is back-ups. I generally leave the house with a couple of batteries and a couple of atties just in case. So it may be worth buying two atties to start with, even if you only get one mod (although at around £20 the TC40 istick is cheap enough for two). It's really just in case you drop one or smash the glass tank, or run out of battery or something.

Plus, if you have two attys with different flavours, it's easy to swap them out.

What was the verdict on the Goblin Mini. Decided for less than 20 notes I'd order one from FastTech last night.

What's flavour like compared to say an Atlantis V2, Subtank Mini or Lemo2?
