My play time has dropped off recently but some of those changes sound good. I'll hold off pre-ordering until I see what it's like, but this looks like it could tempt me back.

(I bet I end up pre-ordering anyway!)
 
I haven't pre-ordered still but that's because they still haven't unveiled the right package for us yet (that I know of?).
 
Well, watched a Bungie play through first new campaign level. Best way to describe it? Cinematic. Very impressive, definitely looking forward to new campaign.

Then played a couple of rounds of mayhem clash as a sunbreaker Titan. REPRAZENT the ocuk massive, I tore up, topped both rounds and won both :) sunbreaker has a really nasty delayed grenade, I landed a first blood double kill. The super is INSANE you just wreck the place, imagine golden gun with more ammo but projectile instead of hitscan. The perk I had active meant the more health you had when you activated it, the further you could throw, and more damage the hammers did, nice touch, stops it being too clutch OP.

Might have to queue again and try some other classes :))
 
On the campaign btw, lots of scripted stuff, but not just waves of enemies. Ships flying around, cabal being sucked into wherever the Taken get taken, lots of zavala and Eros voiceover. The taken psions split in two which is a bit mad.

Suros pulse rifle I used in crucible was awesome. Iron banner sidearm was useless, mega recoil. Sniper I had was too zoomed to use on the maps I tried.

There were jump pads and portals on one of the maps, was pretty interesting.

Also, weapons didn't have an attack rating, they just had a level. All gear was 34.
 
Awesome, so jealous! After reading all this, I think I'm going to delete everything and start again. Every. Thing.

After a year of playing, still no jellyhorn. That thing's destined to elude me forever.

Just wish we had some form of trading and crafting. Would be great to give away all my stuff before wiping everything.

Are there any guns which are / will be no longer available? Might keep those.
 
Yes, I've just done mine. £34.95 from simply games for Xbone. Start from scratch. OK I miss the PS4 exclusive bits but looking at what they are now (a couple of strikes, Hawkmoon, multiplayer maps) they won't be missed as I don't have Hawkmoon. :p
 
Cheers Drunzer. I still don't have a Fatebringer despite well over 100 kills, same with jellyhorn. Crazy how good those two are avoiding me. Got all the other fancy stuff, a few Last Words, Hawkmoon, Truth, all the exotic bounty guns, Red Death, I can go on and on. Got a few VoCs too.

On an off topic note, I sent out a few friend requests to some of the folks in the Rocket League thread so we should get a few games in soon. I run Forever Gaming and we have about 30 regulars who play all various games and loads who play Destiny, we're aged from 17 to 70, guys and gals, all friendly folks who are not shy from a bit of banter. If any of you guys would like to link up, let me know and I'll send out invites later. Always good to have more folks to play with :)

Diddums, PS4 or XB1? I own both systems but I play Destiny on PS4. My PSN ID is Drunzer if you play on that. Wouldn't mind some VoG runs if you're still after that Fatebringer, I genuinely miss that raid.
 
Ps4 mate, we're all on PS4. Doesn't take much for us to do VoG really, as long as we have enough folks on. Just a couple of weeks ago we dragged two VoG virgins through, good times!
 
I've done Vault of Glass and Crota's End hundreds of times, me and my brother have done level 32 Prison of Elders but I think we'd need a 3rd for 34 and 35. I would really like to get 35 done to complete my moments of triumph for that emblem. Send me a friend request definitely =)
 
Yep, really looking forward to this. Im wondering how they will deal with the levelling, are we going to resume from our current level of 20 and rank up to 40, or are they going to squish the light into it and make us level up from 34? Interesting stuff, Im guessing the latter.

I hope they add another character slot so you can work through from the very beginning with the rejigged missions and voice over, not sure I want to delete a guy just to do that. Speaking of which I've revisited a lot of the old missions this morning a lot of which I'd forgotten about and got all the dead ghosts dotted around. (http://destinyghosthunter.net)

All in all it looks pretty impressive stuff, I've got release week off work too which is nice :]
