I'll be on between 8-9 with a JD & coke, if you manage to level up a bit by then you should be ready for strikes.

Just remember as soon as you hit level four to go to the tower and pick up some bounties. Doing these whilst going through the missions will boost your XP too.

when you hit level 5 stop playing the main game and start doing crucible.

make sure you use a high impact pulse/shotgun with range. basically do not scrap any shotguns or pulse rifles you acquire even if they have a low attack rating.

your heavy will always be crap so use a rocket launcher.

start doing crucible bounties and you can hit 20 within 8 hours no probs.

getting level 30+ armour though will be tough. you will need marks and lots of them. i doubt you will be able to get a gjallahorn tbh i thought you played it for 2 months then gave up?

therefore i thought you should at least have one level 26 character or something to start off with a base.

gjallahorn is basically the best gun in the game. it's extremely hard to get but xur is selling it this week so basically you have until sunday 9am to buy it.

if you don't get it by sunday morning then chances are you won't see it for a very long time and by that it could be 12 months of regularly playing across 3 characters.

so now really is your best chance. the grind will be worth it.
POE 28/32 gives coins from the chests. so after you do the weekly and nightfall i would hit POE for coins. you need to hit level 20 first then level 32 from vendor armour.

'Best' is a bit subjective though, it's pretty situational though...i.e. PvE bosses. Even then, only really because it's so easy to use, high impact snipers and decent aim could probably do just as good a job most of the time, although no-one bothers because...well....gjallarhorn.

Is Bungie taking the flippin weewee? Just when their about to nerf it and make it basically useless they then decide to let Xur sell it? Pathetic.

Man this just takes the absolute mick out of the whole game. Here now I'm about to take the wheels off your car I'll sell it to you.
 
Haahaa, I so expected this move just before they are going to nerf is so it's just going to be like a regular rocket launcher.

But anyway, I was trying to get gjallahorn for few months, doing all the content that I could possible do every week just to get a chance of getting a gjallahorn, not because I needed it but because it was so OP and it was an entry ticket to so many parties or boss kills.

And it finally did drop for me just over a week ago (after having 7 dragon breaths and few truths). It was such a good moment :) (that was 4th or 5th gjallahorn that I have seen to drop, and it dropped for me from CE NM).

I am so glad that they finally made it available to buy again as this weapon should have never existed to start with (or the damage shouldn't be so high).

Luckily they have addressed the issues with weapons balancing coming soon and hopefully the same story is not going to be repeated.

The main bounties unlock at level 3 I think then just do all you can. Try and jump into any public events you come across as well even if you can't do much damage as other people doing them will net you the win.

Crucible is good for levelling (as Sonny said) if you like PVP otherwise you can level a character in PVE in about 8-10 hours I think.
 
Now my completely pointless rage has subsided and I feel like a tit. Oooh yeah.

Still want to kill everyone here in work and want this nightmare week to end. I need a holiday!

So I just hit level 6 and I cant do crucible, according to one poster I should be able to do it at level 5?

Edit: nevermind had to have psn plus so forked out for that now. Onto crucible, gonna die loads hehe.
