The labour Leader thread...

Not really, at least one of those autocompletes worked when I checked earlier and it was soon removed, all it means is that she clicked on them to see who was tweeting it. I'm not a fan of hers at all, but it's not rocket science to realise how Twitter works, you click on something and you've 'searched' for it and an 'x' appears.

or the auto complete came up from everyone responding to her tweat and searching it?

Why would they move from their current position? It's popular. If Corbyn becomes Labour leader then the status quo is the Tories best chance of election success. To move further right would simply make a Corbyn government more tempting to more people.

Because a large amount of the party are fundamentally right-wing - I don't like Cameron but I imagine he had to tell IDS to stop being an idiot quite often. If you spend enough time telling people that the real reason why your rents are high and privatised monopolies are providing a poor quality of service while also increasing in price is because lazy people don't want to work and disabled people choose to be that way then "what's popular" tends to change.

People rallying against Corbyn because he is "extreme" have seemingly really quickly forgotten that Labour just lost an election because they had no policies other than "what the Tories are doing, but we will smile while we do it". If you agree with Tory policies then why would you vote for a watered down version of them? Being electable doesn't mean being a clone of whoever won last time.

She's a shouty attention seeker and will remain one for as long as news channels over here keep asking her to comment on stuff.

Didn't she give up politics because her marriage was in a mess to an American musician?

I'm assuming she said that to try and get people to report on it. I can't taken the woman seriously at all.

You'd have thought a pretty outspoken almost 'perfect' Tory like herself supporting certain people in the Labour leadership race would be a death sentence, but then she goes and makes a gaffe and that becomes more important.

Politics is weird.

She was a wannabe Margaret Hodge. I remember all those committee hearings.

Wasn't she also quite proud of being a huge groupie during her Oxford days, to the extend of giving NME an article about it?

I view everything she does as though she asked "will this give me more exposure" before doing it.

Likely. After all, they're politicians. Or was. The same mentality. Do anything for a photo opportunity and to get themselves on TV. Since most of them come through journalism as it is their little platform.

Student newspaper -> Student leader -> Labour party seems to be quite a common theme. As does the Oxford degree -> Policy think-tank -> Tories approach.

The latter approach is just as likely to result in a Labour politician these days.

I see the propaganda driven mainstream media is well rattled LOL, gone from asking people to vote JC and now he must be stopped. :D:D:D

Some of the **** they print is mind-boggling.

They both struck me as so surprised to be where they were that they would do pretty much anything they were told. If the people working your strategy are massive Blairites then that's what you get.
