What film did you watch last night?

Straight Outta Compton, I am/was a fan of early 90's hiphop so I enjoyed the subject matter.

Would recommend it for fellow hiphop fans.

Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back

8/10

I watched it with my son who loves SW but hasn't seen this one yet. It's a great film and certainly better than any of the prequels. :)

A Most Wanted Man. One of Philip Seymour Hoffman's last films. Very good, though very reminiscent of a lot of other spy thriller intelligence type films. The ambiguity of the Chechen Muslim character was very well done.

Avengers - Age of Ultron

Was ok, not as good as the first one. Relaxed my brain for a couple of hours which is what I expected and wanted.

Quick q: where are people watching this? It hasn't been in any cinema near me for months, and hasn't been released to streaming/disc yet.

Unless I've missed somewhere obvious.

Arrrrrrrrrrrrr!

The Art of War. Muddled political-action-thriller with a plot so badly written I could hardly follow it and didn't even care.

Donald H. Sutherland was somehow coerced into signing up for this abomination, and looked like he'd rather be chewing his own leg off in one of Detroit's inner city crack dens. 3/10.

Really ? lmao ! :D No ones going to fall for that and tell the truth. ;)

Prisoners - 8/10

Hugh Jackman's young daughter and friend are abducted, Jake Gyllenhaal investigates.

How far will a father go to find his daughter.......all the way according to this film.

Another good performance by Gyllenhaal, and this film far exceeded my expectations, thoroughly enjoyable (in a dark, tense and upsetting way :p)
