Corruption at its lowest.

My view is that there were people in positions of power who engaged in depraved acts as did Cyril Smith and when he was arrested for it someone up the ladder feared that if charged, Cyril Smith could name some very high profile people so the order filtered down for him to walk.

I would imagine it goes even further than that, some of the people were in positions where the were ripe to be blackmailed.

I mean rather than focus on the current allegations (pretty horrendous allegations btw) KGM wanted to talk about the 1987 conviction Proctor got for sleeping with under-age boys (17, 19).

The relevance to the current allegations is, to my mind, that "Spanker" Harve was the sort of person who (as a middle aged man in 1987) clearly lusted after "Young Flesh" and was also clearly willing to take huge risks to his position and personal life, and break the Law of the day, in order to satisfy his tastes in that direction.

(To an extent that would cause me to question his sanity frankly)

I didn't see the interview, but I don't think the basic line of questioning is particularly out of order.

It is out of order if the person watching is ignorant of the rather special background of the person's history. Seems to me the general public would be unaware of it.

I know plenty of of 39/40 year olds in relationships with other people in their 20s. I take it you are getting information from other sources regarding the activities he got up to?

The question is - there is so much speculation but where is the hard evidence?

Or is it genuinely a case whereby the police were asked/forced to drop an investigation into possible "westminster child abuse ring" goings on?

the royal family and senior politicians are involved in this, what do we expect the establishment to do? investigate themselves?

The police are the boot boys of the government, so when they tell them to stop investigating they do

What about the Hillsborough inquests ? One of the witnesses, a policeman, says he went to a meeting with high-level officers in the days after and they were told that they would blame the drunken, ticketless Liverpool fans. These senior officers even now deny this meeting took place. Now that someone has stood up to take the rap everything else will be left under the carpet.

There two systems one for the masses and one for the 1%ers, the law for us is a law to keep their laws and ways protected. its a two tier system we have and this goes for all countries on this planet.
