Screw a long M6 bolt into it and use it to tap the star nut further down the tube before you make your cut. The long bolt makes it easy to see if it's straightIf I cut down my steerer and the star nut is in the cut off section, can I tap it out and then reinstall it in the steerer?
Any tips without the tool?
Can someone who's bored plot me a route that might be fun to do on a commute. Driving is 15 miles each way ish, along the A61 and then Otley Road from Killinghall. These are roads I wish to avoid completely because they're horrible.

I'm thinking out towards Fewston, then past Menwith Hill on whatever that road is, after crossing the A59, round the back of Brimham Rocks (but I can't remember if having to go through Summerbridge to get there - only driven it once and seem to recall a stupidly steep hill on a narrow road - not so enamoured with that)... onto the Pateley road, possibly through Grantley/Past Grantley Hall or maybe not bother with that and after Brimham Rocks go the back way and towards Aldfield but through Fountains Abbey/Studley Deer Park.
I just can't make route planners work, because I'm a ****.
Cheers FTI don't mind an extra 5 miles - I got it to 23 miles before I gave up in disgust.
The road surfaces all around here are pretty woeful anywhere you go. :/

Well I'm booked up for a blood test. Well, I've got see a private GP first who will discuss what to test for etc. £80 for 30mins ! Then I got the choice of a Ferratin test or Full Blood Count test, the prices are equally eye watering.
I guess it'll be worthwhile to double check there's nothing wrong with me medically, before I try different diets, supplements etc.
FT - I've not forgotten to reply to your superb post. I had to work from home last night, but will claim the time back today, so expect an email later![]()
Yeah, that does seem like a classic case of the Strava segment having duff data.
Yep! Duff data. 99% at the start![]()
There's a segment near me that used to have an elevation gain of like 30,000 feet despite being only a very gentle slope. It's since been corrected, but clearly something on the backend doesn't line up, as Strava still lists my biggest climb as being the 28ft that this segment actually gains. My cat 2s count for nothing!
You have chosen to flag this segment for: "Bad GPS, Elevation or Duplicate". Unfortuately, segment flags are reserved for hazardous segments only.

Personally I don't see anything wrong with immediately working on your diet. Or at the very least, getting in on the logging of intake with MFP. Even if you carry on eating exactly the same as you do now getting an accurate log will provide useful data for when you do change things.
I'll keep an eye out for an email![]()
what I did was -;
save gpx/data for that ride with "biggest" climb, remove it.. reupload it.. - bam.
Unfortunately I've cycled the segment 11 times, and I'm not sure I can be arsed with that effort!
yea but if you click on the "biggest" climb link where it says the number of feet it will direct you to the ride it has the data from, that will be the ride to remove and reupload.. should be a one-off.![]()

Yep, started logging today. Although really need scales to confirm portion sizes.
Today I'll apparently consume; 3,332 caloiries, 350 carbs, 110 fat, 203 protein, 2,004 sodium, 224 sugar.
That's with 3 protein shakes, and the peanut butter though. I can't stomach more than 3 shakes at the moment.
