grudas is it the Moon Comet you have and did the video of? How have you found battery life?

I'm looking for a rear brighter than my current mini RC (15 lumen), but I require USB chargeable with seatpost mount and ideally a 'clip' mount I can secure it to my saddle bag.
:o

Hi Roady, just to let you know I had a Moon Comet last year. Unfortunately, it only lasted 6 months before it stopped charging :/

Yeah I wouldn't get moon comet! But I've had other lights from moon and they're all working fine, some over a year old.

anyone on here got Rotor Q-rings? Speccing up a new build, and at the moment I'm liking the look of Q-rings, if only for the relief it may offer my dodgy knee. Need to investigate how they work with Di2 though, as I'll be getting Ultegra 6870.

Also, would 60mm front and 88mm rear wheels be too ridiculous for a completely average rider? :p

I think they're meant to work okay but I think a better investment would be a regular ring/crankset and a sports physio ;)

I've got Biopace rings on my geared bike which are basically eccentric rings. I wouldn't say that they will be the answer to your knee problems. Stick with round rings and go see a sports physio or osteopath about your knee. Also check your bike fit, you might get some relief by moving backwards and down a bit and then spinning a bit faster in a smaller gear.

Out in Denmark for the amateur and masters world champs. Not taking part, just helping a mate who is.

TT was today, some riders got lucky with the weather but others got soaked. Road dries out so quick after it stops raining because it's so open and windy.

Good to see im the fastest of janp's friends up Great Dunn Fell, I need to go up again, I stopped to take photos half way up.

I'm extremely low in the pecking order even on my own friends list :(

biopace and q-rings are quite literally opposite. biopace have the largest diameter at the deadspot (12 and 6 o'clock), q-rings have the smallest diameter at the deadspot. The two can't really be compared (as far as I've read).

That said, I'll def be getting a bike fit once I've got my new bike :)

On one of those typical family holidays in Mallorca. I never realised I was going to end up watching Jeremy Kyle live whether I liked it or not. Alas... I managed go escape today to the northwest of the island, rent a road bike and taste some of the Mallorcan hills. Woah! Amazing rides. Must have climbed a months worth of my typical RP/Surrey rides in just 60 miles. Definitely coming back for a proper holiday sometime :)

They've offered me that Bianchi with no VAT and dropped the 89EUR delivery. Still 2500, but list price is 5k. SO TEMPTING! :p

Buying some shoes and winter tyres tomorrow though... any recommendations for a quality neat saddle bag for tubes?

I just got delivered a small topeak saddle bag, looks to fit tools and 2 tubes without a problem!

Not having much luck with jerseys I must say, bought 2 Raphas medium sized and they were too tight, borderline OK when cycling but would ride up a lot which wasn't great so returned 1 of them for a large as the other was out of stock. :(

Then bought an Altura for commuting (size large), as I only have Muddyfox ones (not liking them) and it's too big, a lot of sag when leaning forward, so need to return for a refund and look for something else. My DHB Bibshorts (first ever pair) fit nicely, so that's a bonus and have back brakes again as I've worn mine down.

Those DHB windslam's look good for auturm/winter coming up, but only a small size in stock!

Why is cycling so expensive! :D

PS: Thanks to whoever tipped everyone off about Northwave shoes I switched mine out as I didn't like my Shimano's and they look awesome. New pedals this weekend and away I go!

B-Twin from Decathlon - £4.99 does the job for me.

Thanks to Shamrock also for pointing out the Royles 50% off all shoes sale. I now have a nice pair of SPD-SL shoes (Fizik R5) at the bargain price of £65.

I'm confused, FT is the only person I'm following that's ridden that segment... Am I missing something, it's quite early, caffeine hasn't quite kicked in!

Went out last night with a friend after work. Brutal headwinds and I'd stupidly underdressed for the windchill! Pushed ourselves hard (always do with headwinds!) swapping the lead on our usual 5 miles. Both felt strong, me at the start/end and him in the middle, so kept the pace high (for us) and had a good return sprint into town. Didn't feel like a tailwind anywhere along though! Hopefully 19mph average over 24 miles is fast enough for grudas? ;)

Had my first protein shake when I got back! Not sure what I was expecting, but easily drinkable and I'm sure my legs feel better today...!

Some of the local guys were doing a local memorial hill climb (and several of the NFTO pro guys came over), I'd not realised the particular place they were riding was so steep! Only short but 20-30% in places! https://www.strava.com/segments/9091059?filter=overall

Dug out my winter gear for this mornings commute, DHB aeron tights fit me well considering the last time I wore them they were quite tight... But that was 8+ months ago when I was 5-6kg heavier and a 2" bigger waistline! Not sure how my Active thermals are going to fit me though as they weren't that tight...!

Gotta love all of the Sufferfest quotes :D

Planet X RT-80. There's very little out there that suits my pocket and my taste. It's all jazzy graphics and logos everywhere and/or silly expensive with low end kit on it. Ideally I would have been able to afford an Enigma Echo (drool), but I couldn't justify spending that much. Happy enough with what I've bought though, especially as I got £180 off for crash replacement and a free helmet and carbon road shoes.

Great deal and a good choice, several here have RT's and love them (Tart?). I quite like the understated smart mature look of them but then I equally like my loud gaudy jazzy graphics! ;)

Ok thanks mate, a couple of bad comments about them here is all I need to know!

Another vote for Topeak medium wedge, I got a medium as I wanted to carry all my tools (2 multitools and a minidriver with bits), 2 tubes, 6 levers and puncture repair kit. I also wanted a little extra room to carry some extras, I can carry keys, saddle rain cover, helmet rain cover and even some arm warmers without using the expanding zip! :D

Previously I had an Aldi one (started leaking), an Ortleib (too small) and a Deuter (clip broke).

Then bought an Altura for commuting (size large), as I only have Muddyfox ones (not liking them) and it's too big, a lot of sag when leaning forward, so need to return for a refund and look for something else.

If you like DHB shorts then go for some DHB jerseys! Active fit would probably be similar to the muddyfox (with the front bunching) as they're very 'relaxed fit', but ranges like the Clip, Chevron, Classic, Chase and Windslam are much more fitted with a dropped rear/raised front. The Aeron pro would be even more fitted! I've linked so many as sizes are limited in most DHB currently, should see more of their 2016 ranges appearing soon.
