What film did you watch last night?

Spy over Kingsman? Wow...

I preferred Spy to Kingsman as well.
TBH the only bit I found amusing in Kingsman was the sex joke at the end.
Spy was funny all the way through with the Miranda char being the only annoying bit and the actress was asked specifically to play it that way.
Jason Statham taking the **** out of himself just stole every scene.

Whiplash

Wow, such a tense movie. It made my hairs stand up through most of it. Bloody loved it and would watch again. Simmons is brilliant in it, I like him in most things, but in this he is great. It's a must watch recommendation to anyone who hasn't seen it yet. I loved the style and you know when a movie is great when it relies so little on lengthy needless dialogue.

10/10

TY TY TY really really enjoyed this! indeed as close as 10/10 as it gets.

Whiplash ruled. J.K. Simmons never does a duff performance.

- Straight Outta Compton 7.5/10
Pretty good biopic. The guy who played Eazy E was excellent. Even if it was mainly samples, there was zero coverage on how they actually put the music elements of the albums together, save for Dre's character tapping at a drum machine in one shot.

- Trainwreck 8/10
If you're into Judd Apatow's stuff, this is him handing over the writing reigns to Amy Schumer, and just holding the camera. I personally like the longer films he does, but it did go on a bit. She's a fine actress - looking forward to see which way she goes whether it's standup, writer or actress.

was something with Dean Cain? (superman?) in, was sy-fy channel, doomsday cold something movie? fell asleep half way in.

most recent movie watched all way, Total Recall, the recent one, yeah i liked it :)

Holy Ghost People. Moody post-urban drama about the catastrophic breakdown of an Appalachian snake handling cult.

7/10.

Mr Holmes. McKellen made it worth watching, and the child actor was surprisingly good too. Overall though, just an emotional portrayal of dementia which makes you depressed about what's to come.

6/10

Is it really that good? The trailer made it out to be beyond cliched and predictable. Plus her face doesn't match her body :p

Mongol 8/10. Wonderful movie and the cinematography and scenery is breathtaking. One thing I don't fully understand.

Temujin's mother had been engaged to the chief of the Merkit Tribe, but Temujin's father had abducted her. Now Temujin's father wanted Temujin to marry a woman also from the Merkit Tribe.

Quote from the movie:"He stole my mother from the Merkits and they never forgot it. Now he needed peace, so I had to take a Merkit bride"

How was that likely to bring peace?

Are you crazy? Sharknado 3 was great! I meant, you know, cheesey Sci-Fi movies have to be scored on a whole seperate 'out of 10 standard' but definitely worthy of a Sci-Fi 5/10 at least! :D

The only Sci Fi to come close to competing was Lavalantula!! :)

haha. i must be for watching these films. i preferred the first two movies to the third though. can't get enough cheese, hope they keep making them. everyone flocks to the blockbusters and misses out on these gems.

i'll add Lavalantula to the list, that one must have got past me.

Mega Shark vs. Crocosaurus (2010) tonight. solid 3/10

you can't beat shark vs croc movies :D
