The EU Migrant Crisis

He didn't fight of ISIS, he fought for the FSA - you know, the group the UK government encouraged and gave weapons to. So really, he's like a Ghurka.

most of the FSA were also working with al nusra and the other terrorist groups do some research the FSA weren't the harmless freedom fighters they were portrayed as.
and anyone who doesn't think it's him look at the scar/blemish on his cheek

And who are they? :o

Extremists, and probably lets be real some moderates who disagree with a western way of life saying it's wrong.

Saw it in interviews post Charlie Hebdo young Muslims saying it's wests fault because of their values way they live blah blah. Yeah really sucks to live in a totally free world without some oppressive hogwash dictating my way of life.

I sat there thinking..... er...... go back then? why stay in France if it's so "bad".

Oh that's right.... choo choo gravy train everyone!

Yet again, you demonstrate a complete lack of awareness about the cuts being undertaken "everywhere else."

Cuts in public services, cuts in disability allowances, cuts in policing...

And "everything else" is funded by tax money.

It's soooo easy to spend other people's money, isn't it... Why don't the people so vocally supportive of taking economic migrants use their *own* money, not the dwindling tax revenue, to fund all this?

cut trident, theres a few billion right there, take more out of defence and cut the house of lords in size, another few 100 million

Whilst I agree with most of your points...

What about those who have lived in France since birth. 3rd generation etc. Are not extremist and are not "moderate" but are told not to do abc e.g wear a hijab (not veil).

I'm derailing this thread. Just curious of your views and we'll stop there

What about this map, whats wrong with this one.

I believe that map is atleast 6 months out of date as well - Lebanon has now taken in over 1.8m, Turkey in excess of 2m, etc. and the map doesn't cover most of NA either which is going the same way. (EDIT: It also doesn't show the full picture as its focused on Syria - its not the only country there that people are leaving or displaced and will likely leave en mass).

There is also another aspect in that a lot of the more moderate, generally younger, population of those and neighbouring countries are getting fed up with the old ways, embracing the western way of life more and also wanting out - its probably partly why ISIS has been relatively successful in recruitment as its another way out of that for those that are less discerning or have more extreme tendencies.

The problem is it isn't just a minority of refugees escaping an oppressive regime and the odd economic migrant any more, you can't just start taking them in, maybe raise taxes and hope for the best - if we start taking them in we need a long term plan for how they are going to integrate and enhance society and strengthen our economy because its just going to escalate.

Foreign office disagrees.

I see on your map Ukraine isn't a war zone either.......

Turkey isn't a war zone, stop claiming that. There is some danger on the border with Syria due to the obvious situation but the rest of the country is still safe for the moment. There will be British holiday makers still visiting Turkey daily. Flights are still going to Turkey from all of Europe. So please stop with the BS. Do you even read the travel advice posted in the link?

How, from that picture, do you deduce who he is fighting for?

don't think it matters - he's a deserter or a terrorist and so shouldn't be here

in fact any men of fighting age are really the lowest priority for us and should be sent back to countries neighboring Syria - especially the fit resourceful ones who have made their way across multiple borders

frail old people, disabled, single women with no family in camps near the border with Syria - they're a much higher priority IMO

I did read the advice but where do you suppose the refugee camps are?

Germany is in a demographic time bomb right now.

Their population is going to decline by at least 10m over the next 50yrs, it's already 'baked in' to their birth rate, so taking in people like this will help a little in the short term but seeing as how not all these people will settle permanently, it's too soon to say what the long term effects will be.

Speaking to a german guy I used to know once the Turks who arrived in Germany stick to their own communities and make little effort to integrate and there was considerable resentment towards them. France has similar problems with its algerian population iirc with a high crime rate.

Now what exactly has changed in Germany in recent times I don't know and what plan Merkel has to turn all these foreigners into model German citizens I don't know... and I suspect beyond the initial feel good factor of offering aid to vunerable people she simply doesn't have one. Like so much else these days politicians have very little foresight and only see as far ahead as the next local elections with one eye on the opinion polls. Like Cave In Cameron who only does anything when opinion polls give him reason too. Polls say people don't want immigration, pledges to cut immigration. Polls say allow immigrants in, he lets them in.

I hope those good doers will be the ones that are at the front for a terror attack in this country. Those that are fleeing to teh west ar those that stayed and hoped that ISIS could support them when they found out they could not then they started to flee.

Really. You hope?

Wow, what scum you are. Maybe that's why you're depressed.

You may think that but when the crap hits again in this country its people of this country that will get hurt, its always been the good doers that have caused misery for the rest in situations like this. ISIS are hoping to use the good will of people in this country to accept immigration from those parts.

Do I want a terror attack in this country no I do not, I prefer to lock up our borders and have a safer country. How many of those that are coming in have connections to ISIS etc... I bet a few.
This is a War using social media and the internet, to open the hearts of the west to bring in the Trojan horse.
