Christ, I'm flying to Vegas on BA in December!
Christ, I'm flying to Vegas on BA in December!
Christ indeed, because, you know, the exact same thing will happen to your flight, in December....![]()
Wonder if it occurred before, during or after the safety announcement that nobody ever listens to because it will never happen to them?
Great to see how well the evacuation went - you can train as much as you like, but the real thing is always going to be different.
Yeah the plane would have had somewhere in the region of 120,000 + litres of JetA1 avaition fuel. I wouldn't be hanging around to grab my passport and wallet.
Engine fuel cut-off valve prevents things like that happening.

Maybe mid-flight but from the extent of damage in the photos, surely there is a risk of the first spreading?
The women with their handbags, chances are were well within reach as were under their seats and didn't cause a blockage, the 2 men in that middle picture with suitcases which were more than likely in overhead bins? Yeah, that's some stupid moves right there

Exactly, lean between your legs and grab your bag as you're getting up. Takes no extra time, especially if you're waiting for people to file past and let you out of your seat. Heck, if you have a small bag in the overhead locker you can normally get it out while waiting to get out of your seat (what I usually do on flights anyway).
No they were just in a burning plane and could have turned into a disaster very quickly like the Airtours flight at Manchester airport many years ago
Its ridiculous that anyone put their belongings above their and the other passengers safety
