** Star Wars Episode VII - SPOILERS WITHIN **

I stood next to a chap on the tube wearing a 'Creature FX Team 2014' jacket with 'VII' on the front, this morning. Was tempted to wrestle it off his back and sell it on ebay :p

Having mixed feelings about the hype and merchandising. Don't know what it's like back in Blighty, but over here it's completely OTT. I'm already starting to feel worn out by it and the movie isn't out for another 3 months! On the plus side, most of the stuff is very good. My 4 year old has a bunch of TFA clothes and they are extremely cool. He keeps asking me if I'm jealous...well, yeah I am actually :D

There are rumours that Hayden Christensen will return as Anakin in ep8. Assuming this happens, maybe he won't be so bad this time with better lines and a better director. At least being a spirit, he won't get the chance to act like an angsty teenager.

Hopefully this will never happen

He is actually a solid actor. If you judged Ewan Mcgregor solely on his Star Wars performance you'd not be too impressed either. This isn't to say he wasn't good - I think he was actually brilliant, considering what he had to work with...

... lots of green screen, a shoddy script and a terrible director.

Ewan Mcgregor pretty much is the only one who put in a decent performance in my opinion. Given what he had to work with, his performance didn't turn out too badly compared to the rest.

Anyone else think there's any substance to all these Andy Serkis playing Darth Plagueis rumours going round?

Nope. It will be someone else. From what I gather he will be someone that existed for a long time. And may not be as black and white as a sith.

It would be odd to do as Palpatine claims to have killed him and if he hasn't then it kinda wee's over the rule of two. Although the book is now not canon it did a very good job of the rise of palpatine while maintaining the canon in the films. One of the better books in the EU.

How do you know what's canon and what isn't? I really loved the book and would hope it played some relevance in the future films.

All of the old EU stuff has been deemed not canon. Only the recently released books are now part of the official Star Wars canon.
