Rainbow Six: Siege (PS4 & Xbox One)

When does the beta end ? Ubisoft has just sent me a code through. Are they trolling me ?

Having played this on the weekend I'm not going to pick it up on release. I don't see how it can work well outside of a party of friends. I played the PS4 and PC version and found the controls quite clunky, hit detection is annoying so are people with shields...
 
I really like it and will be buying it. I just hope it has a good player base. This thread is pretty small.
 
Had a go on this last night on PS4. Just did Terrorist Hunt mode as that is the main reason I used to play Rainbox Six games.

It seems ok to me. After all is said and done, it feels like a Rainbow Six game at its core. I have several concerns though. Firstly, terrorists take way too many hits to kill. 5-6 shots! It should be realistic like the former games. Appreciate armour is a factor but even so. Still seems too arcadey to me. Want people to drop after 1-2 shots in vital areas.

The suicide AI guy is very annoying and kinda ruins Terrorist Hunt mode as it stands. They are just a bullet sponge and it's a lame way to get killed. Needs to go or take a massive nerf.

Graphics are average at best too. Perhaps that's a beta thing though. Sound is top draw. Very nice. So is frame rate. On the whole, liking it.
 
Had a go myself but i'm still not sure if to purchase the game they need to speed up the time in between rounds. I think the game would be better if it had a command interface so you can point at entry points and tell your teams mate to "stack up", "breach, flash & clear" etc. Otherwise when playing with randoms its bit of mess if they are not using a microphone.

When barricading doorways it shouldn't leave a gap for the remote control car to drive under, as it becomes bit easy for blufor to spot the objectives and the round ends faster.

The maps needs to have larger corridors or choke points like in CS to have spots where you can defend from better.

It will be interesting to see what other game modes they add I would like to see hostage rescue mode.

Christ I didn't even realise patriots was cancelled until today. I forgot all about it. I'm long overdue another run through Vegas. I might fire up the old 360!

I've been having a go at it yesterday night and this morning.

Quite good fun doing Terrorist Hunt. Just need to level up more to unlock weapon customisation etc. Unlocked my first character as a defender, but I favour playing Terrorist hunt more.

May get it if my bro and missus wants to play too, otherwise, will wait till it's cheap.
