The Raids are 6 man activities.

I think only maybe one person has Solo'd the Vault of Glass, and that was when he was vastly over ranked. You were under ranked and tried to solo it ??

I take it you're not really familiar with the raids in destiny then ?
 
They fixed the glitch that enabled you to get into the vault solo anyway didnt they?

You physically can't be on all three plates at the same time to open the Vault door so it's pointless trying haha

Nope.. As said before I am a noobie on this :D I just wanted to see what its all about. I have done a couple of strikes but not wanted to know what it was like and... It was a bad idea. Will try with some other players once I rank up a fair bit more.

I think I will try some of the Vanguard mission things first.

Not sure how you managed to get into that, you can't even start the raid until you're level 23 as far as I remember. Anyway, as Frodders says, Raids are a team activity, they're not meant to be solo'd. The only raid that can realistically be done solo is Crota's End, but even then you need to know the mechanics inside out to have a chance.

That's why I've not done the raid yet, I hate LFG now. When I've mastered all parts of this new raid I'll be tempted to go on LFG and advertise for a group of no-experience, no-emblem people with chill attitudes who are capable of listening to instructions. I think I'd be inundated with replies in seconds.
 
It has always been the same. It's what puts me off :-\ that said, if anybody wants I am always happy to come raid with you guys, I can usually bring a couple of others along too.
 
I think with a group of 2 experienced people you could sherpa complete noobs.

Wouldn't fancy trying golgoroth with only me knowing what to do.

LFG has its uses but I generally try to avoid it and use it as a last resort. My main problem with LFG is so many people are elitist or end up with people who are truely useless. It isn't difficult to get a reasonable large pool of people from here to ask if you need help with a strike or a NF. I think I have run as many raids that start with a party invite asking if I fancy running a raid as I have in arranged groups.

Also interesting to read about the mouldering shards, I knew you got a reward if you had over 20 but nice to see that you get some decent rewards not something rubbish. I don't think I will be over 20 from tonights run though will be close so might have to run my titan through to get some extra ones.

BS isn't it. I've been off sick the last two days and thought I might give it a go on LFG this afternoon. Alas I am only 293 light and don't qualify apparently!

According to the Wiki the Raids (Vault of Glass) unlocks at lvl20. I am getting together with some friends to play :)

Is Crotas End the one where you find someone Praying, Shoot them and loads of enemies inc a mad wizard (Crota?) comes after you? I almost did that bit on my own last night.
 
I'm just shy of 290 light, hoping to crack 290 tonight with some luck. Just don't know what the best way to go about it is.

I can imagine! How did you even do that? Do kills when you are warded up count or is it just that void spike grenade and force barrier melees that do it?
