The labour Leader thread...

Remove anytime soon and replace with never, it's like gunpowder, it's here to stay.

Well I always have hope even if I know its not really realistic.

It's unfair to imply he's a moron but he has lived in a world where his views have been unchallenged for so long he's convinced himself he's right (human psyche works in a way that were all convinced we're right but we don't use megaphones to the extent he does). He gives platforms to Palestinians, but not for debates with Israelis, just to beat a drum of the evils of the opposition.

That is an interesting way to look at it and not something I'd considered. I won't deny there are some areas he talks a lot of sense but ultimately it seems he is in for a rude awakening sooner or later.

Jesus just stop talking ****. This so called information you have is pointless if you don't want to share it. It's like me coming on here and telling people I know how to win the lotto each week but then saying "Wouldn't you like to know" when someone asks me how.

Again we are still waiting on a few things.

- You to pay back that student loan
- The so called report you help write that was heading off for peer review
- And a picture from London

You like a broken record mate, you need a hobby or a good shag - you've obviously got something on your chest.

P.S.

1: Never.
2: http://www.rsc.ox.ac.uk/publication...development-challenges-of-forced-displacement - peer review was actually concluded earlier than I thought, but wasn't fed back to the group in a timeous fashion.
3: No one told me where/how they wanted the pic taken before I caught the train.

It's a bizarre world where a bloke draws criticism for stating that he *won't* use weapons of mass destruction to kill millions.

It's the folks who say they might kill millions I'm more worried about!

I was beginning to think it's been too long since you last reminded us you were studying at Uni. Thanks for redressing the balance.

It wasn't a reference to uni actually - there are occassions when you need to write academically outside of a university environment yoou know.

You're >.< this far from coming off my man crush list Fox, serisously.

+1. If I were PM there would be NO scenario that would warrant deplying nukes. If China were to invade and the only way to stop them would be to fire nukes at them, then I'd rather be ruled by the Chinese.

Of course they told you and it was many hours before your so called train was due to arrive at 7.30. Maybe your phone was out of battery or something and you never did get seeing the post.

Now who's the conspiracy nut? :p

Its one of the underpinnings of the MAD doctrine (that ostensibly by its nature actually prevents millions of people from dying) that the fact they can't be sure you'd ever use it (even if they think you probably never would) acts as the deterrent - someone who is potentially prime minister coming out and confirming he'd never use it completely undermines the whole system and ironically actually risks lives because now our enemies/potential enemies know we are weak (if he was ever prime minister).

Exactly - the best thing to say is nothing at all. Then you can happily not use it, without the disadvantages of pandering to the crowd by telling everyone you'd not use it.

It's just yet another move that demonstrates he probably isn't fit to be the head of a nation.

I get the impression he thinks its a clever move to force the hand and destroy the system - which comes back to what Muffin`said about him convincing himself.

By the end of the year we'll see at least one if not two opposition leaders in another nuclear capable country saying they wouldn't fire them either.

He's right, the Lib Dems will become the opposition. :p

Seismic indeed!

;)

Its possibly the only "unimaginable" thing that is likely to happen in UK politics over the next couple of years.

Which changes what?
