simple harmless mistakes
erroneous memory
harmless mistakes that everyone makes (mine seem quite spread out as one is even from 2012.
EDIT: Apparently I have quite the collection within a month, how very silly of me.![]()
these were months ago
Well the rules are there to protect buyers from idiots as well as fraudsters, so I'll sleep easier tonight knowing you were sanctioned for 'harmless mistakes' and an 'erroneous memory'.
Perhaps, but getting a second strike on your MM record and suspended for two weeks over accidentally price dropping a thread before the 24hour limit by a few hours was utterly ridiculous.![]()
Higher trust than you, get off my level scrub.Seems my 'idiocy' screwed over so many people.
(Pretty much all my mistakes were to do with the bump rules, and one of them I'd highly dispute fyi)
Someone that cannot read and follow simple instructions might forget to post on time, or forget that the cpu had a bent pin, or forget to check their bank account for payment, or forget to ensure that the item is wrapped sufficiently.
I'd rather be forwarned of such 'forgetful' people when buying second hand items.

My biggest issue with all this is that a lot of these things are happening to customers, and whilst I'm not saying customers should get special treatment, because I'm not.
I think it's utterly ridiculous that these sort of things happen in the first place when a large portion of the people on here are customers.
I can't see the subforum.
There is a flip side to that coin though. If a customer is on the receiving end of unwelcome comments on the boards how should the mods react?

Both my infractiosn s I received I felt were uncalled for.
1 for basically saying my item was back for sale after a buyer pulled out and putting bump at the end. (In the context, I would say it was fine.
And the other for a price drop 5 minutes before the full 24 hours had past. A friendly reprimand would have sufficed not a suspension.
That's coz you are on moderated posting, which means you are in a special user group with bespoke access.
lucky boy![]()

The number of moderated posters is very very very small, and as you are well aware we communicate with you via email very effeciently - hope you agree about that.
however I'll raise the potential of having the moderated users given access to the new section.
Actions from the mods and actions from customers aren't really the same. Unwelcome isn't really the right sort of word either.
An unwelcome comment doesn't have to be offensive or insulting. Some people here have a hard time dealing with the notion of opinions and informed opinions.
I'm not suggesting people shouldn't ever see something they don't want to see.
I'm talking about how a moderator's actions will come across as shop sanctioned actions because the shop put their trust in their non-shop-staff moderators to moderate this forum. That trust ends up being indirect support until someone said something otherwise.
It's like suggesting I hold Asda responsible because some member of the public in there decided he wanted to talk smack.
