*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Yes i've been getting that message everytime since the 3.00 update, tried to rebuild the database in safe mode, that didn't fix the problem.
So i've left it, i've read if you reinitialize the ps4 that can fix it, but i'm not going to wipe my console for a problem that sony made.
The console works fine, no problem when playing games.

have you tried a full shut down/power off,

Just picked up a new and sealed Destiny: The Taken King Bundle locally, for a tad over £200, I'm quite pleased with that :)

Anyone got any idea if I use a USA PSN+ Subscription on my US PSN account, will I be able to use UK PSN+on my UK PSN account? I'm sure I've read before that the PS+ is tied to the console, but can't for the life of me remember where I've seen it.

no

If you buy a USA PSN+ sub then you have access to USA PSN+ on that account only.

If it's that accounts home console then everyone else can access the content of that account so they can use the games and psn+ sub to play online.

However if it's not the home console only the USA account can use psn+ and the games associated to that account.

By buying a USA PSN+ sub doesn't mean you can download UK PSN+ games on your UK account.

Nothing happens it just beeps twice and turns off. It not even go in to safe mode, was working fine last night :-(

So currently on my console i've got K1YLF (my main PSN profile) and K1YLF-USA that I use to buy games from the USA store etc.

If I was to turn K1YLF-USA to PS+ I'd be able to game online with K1YLF? I've got a lot of $$ credit on my USA ID so want to use it up for something worthwhile, but not if it means I have to play online on my USA ID. I've only got the one console, and can use the USA games that I've bought on my PS4 with my normal UK ID.

so long as your USA account has that console set as it's primary console then yeah you can use the UK account to game online using the USA accounts subscription.

you won't have uk psn+ though simply piggybacking USA psn+ on the usa account

Don't know if this has been covered before, this is a massive thread, but....

I am looking to upgrade my HDD to 2Tb and went to do a backup to a usb hard drive but it says there isn't enough space on the hard drive. I first tried this with a 500gb hdd, I thought ok fair enough so tried it with a 1Tb portable Hdd and got the same message. I have tried both Hdd's formatted as Fat32 and also tried them both as ExFAT but the same result each time, any body have any ideas?

Okay, need some help please if possible.

I have my PS4 connected via the HDMI lead to my PC monitor. My monitor has no speakers so I usually just plug headphones into the DS4 controller. However, I would quite like to remove this lead from the controller and be able to use speakers sometimes as well. So, here is what I want to do, is it possible and what do I need exactly:

I want to connect my PS4 and PC to an amplifier and then plug speakers into the amplifier to produce the sound from both my PC and the PS4. I currently have some JBL Creature 2 speakers and I would quite like to keep them for the time being.

So, as I say, is it possible and if so what do I need? Thanks.

I see, thanks for your help so far. Will I only connect to US players then? Or more likely to connect to them as I'll be classed as being in the USA?

every game has different matchmaking.

but i believe most games use a local search where they try and find the closest matchup possible but i've been matched with saudi's and americans on fifa all the time so taker that with a pinch of salt.

unless the game has dedicated servers (planet side and rocket league) then you choose which server you connect to, USA, EU, Asia, etc.

so you won't connect to usa players any more than you normally would. it's just that you won't get the UK PSN+ games but the USA ones if you remember to switch account and download them every month.

you could probably just ditch your UK account tbh.

nope the jbl speakers are active speakers and you need passive ones if you want to use an amp.

unless the jbl has optical in then connect the ps4 to the jbl using an optical lead. then connect the pc to the jbl using RCA.
