Xur:

Empyrean Bellicose
Mask of the Third Man
Skull of Dire Ahamkara
Chest Engram
Heavy Legacy Engram

Nothing great then, already got the third man mask which dropped on a strike for me. So another 100 odd 3 of coins for me :p

I'm keeping my disc but I think I'll only use it to have some quick blasts at PvP when the mood suits. Been playing Uncharted and I have got a taste for more story driven SP games again. Gonna give the daily Destiny stuff a miss for a while.

I've been doing that this week. I was on Tuesday evening for the nightfalls, but I've been playing MGS5 on other nights. It's been nice having a break tbh, I think we all need it every now and then.

I bought my first game since Destiny launch...Bloodborne in the halloween sale. Regretted instantly. I've forgotten how rough and unpolished games can be :/

For all its criticisms Destiny is probably the smoothest FPS experience I've ever known. Gunplay and movement is on another planet (pun intended :p )

I've only tried BF4 and Battlefront but jesus they feel really odd to me now.

With the latest patches etc I didn't think it was that bad? Although BB is a brutal unforgiving game to start with.

Yeah, thats a confusing statement. Bloodborne has very very few issues that I know of. That was when it came out as well. I haven't played it for a while but it was smooth and bug free at the time. Long load times but apart from that its an amazing game.

What.

Bloodborne is the complete opposite of what you just described, some of the load times are a tad lengthy but apart from that I can't think of any other issues with it.

I really must be playing a different game. The UI is ugly as hell, the menus are awful, it's just sloppy. Just simple stuff like the main menu music cutting off abruptly and them flicking to a crappy static loading screen. Don't get me started on the 'intro' and dreadful game design when you first end up in that graveyard. The animations are pants, camera clunky and graphics below par.

I'm sure the gameplay makes up for it all as everyone raves about it, but really, it is super rough around the edges. I will persevere.

I'm all for everybody being entitled to their opinion no matter how wacky BUT DREADFUL GAME DESIGN!?!? I'M WALKING AWAY FROM MY COMPUTER I HAVE TO >_<

A tad lengthy? Those loading screens were unforgivably long, and you have to sit through, I think, two of them every time you die. Combine that with the extreme rarity of checkpoints, and you get an extremely frustrating game. I don't understand why that game got so hyped up, it was horrible. The exact opposite of fun.

Best game ive played on the PS4 by quite some margin. Oh well we can't all like the same things. Never felt clunky to me at all. The control is really tight. Level design is like nothing else. Bosses are awesome. The game left me exhausted and with a broken controller to boot. So intense.

Well the load times did get patched and if you still thought they were still lengthy after that I'm not sure what else I can say. Pre patch they were a little longer than I would've liked it wasn't too bad if I had died though cause I spent the majority of that time thinking how could I do things differently when I respawned.

I genuinely adore the game. Beautifully designed areas, really creative enemies. The music, the atmosphere.. I loved it all honestly. I think the thing that I loved the most is I don't think I had 1 death where I blamed the game or said 'that was BS' if I died I knew it was because I made a mistake. It's kind of a rare thing these days or at least I think so. The lore and story isn't force fed to you, you have to go find it and even when you do.. it takes a little thinking to understand what's going on.

I suppose it's not for everybody because of the difficulty etc and as Plainsong said, some people like different things but it's one of the best games I have played in a long time.

It's not that it was difficult. It's that it was badly designed. Or rather, it seemed to be designed to maximise frustration. Punishing death with an in-game penalty - fine. Punishing death by forcing the player to stare at a blank loading screen for several minutes - not fine.

I didn't hear about this patch you mention. I suspect I was playing pre-patch, because I bought it shortly after release and gave up after a few days of getting absolutely nowhere. I have no particular inclination to pick it up again.

Edit: remember when this thread was about Destiny? Good times. Just did my first nightfall today, and my reward was... a ghost shell. With a lower level than what I already had. Hooray, buffed nightfall rewards!
