Anyone else had a distinct lack of trick or treaters this year?

Didn't have a single knock on the door last night for the first time ever. Usually get at least a couple of trick or treaters every Halloween, but I'm not complaining :D I guess kids can't be arsed nowadays.
There were lots of fireworks going off all evening though. Did Halloween get replaced with bonfire night?

We got 77 people last night visiting our house, all in costume / face paint etc. My wife enjoys dressing up in a witches costume and has done it for years. She likes decorating the outside of the hose and its entrance.
She bakes buns and makes up sweet bags and although she had prepared 100 bags she hadn't remembered that when it falls on a Saturday numbers are down on a weekday Halloween, as typically people go to parties etc.

Typically though on the road we live on ours was the only one with lit Halloween pumpkins and decorations etc.

None! We had none last year as well. I think it is because we are in a sort of courtyard off another road so i don't think people venture in our way thankfully and no young kids live in the 8 or so houses in the courtyard.

Looks like no one in my area cares about this tradition as there appears to be precisely zero decorations on/around any of the houses near me. My housemates and I deliberately stayed out tonight so even if there was people knocking, we wouldn't have known. ;) :D :)

What is a 'baging' night? https://www.tagalog-dictionary.com/search?word=baging

Oh... that doesn't sound like fun to me...

Banging* I was no state to be able spell properly last night so I should be let off :P

Had none at all last night ... normally the doorbell rings 4 or 5 times (and gets ignored).
But whilst there are quite a few kids which live in the street I haven't seen/heard them around in the last week, despite it being half term and most of them playing (unsupervised) in the street most of the time normally so who knows whats going on ...

Everyone's a paedo these days - it's Paedogeddon. People don't want their kids knocking on strangers' doors. :p

Not one kid, but oh well no big deal... Our driveway is maybe a mile, we are on a mountain, so not like we are on the side of a street...

None, which is unsurprising living in a gated community :p But a bit of a shame, kids here tend to be sweet, and I have a tonne of sweets kicking around that I won't eat.

Maybe I should just start hurling packages in to the local schools. No way that could go badly.

I have never seen adults that aren't with the kids so kind of a mute point.
Like I said - Rugby, Strictly and X Factor had a major impact this year.

We had Black Birds knocking the door. Apparently they were on their annual Trick or 'Tweet' day!

Not as many as usual but maybe that's because I was in the garage and didn't hear them all.

**I was doing stuff, not just hiding out in a bid to keep all the sweets for myself**
