How much does your electricity cost you?

Scottish Power Fixed Tariff Feb 2016
Elec only household (so covers immersion heater and E7 storage heaters)
5 fish tanks (but only one has a heater to maintain 20C and only one has ~100W T5 lighting for 6 hours per day)

Been ~£60pcm since spring, expecting it to approach ~£90pcm when we finally turn on the storage heaters (been so mild here so far for autumn)

I have no idea, I'm on quarterly bills as that was how it was set up. I just log in online and throw some money at them every now and then.

Sometimes I can't do the growed up things in life very well.

Single person 'ere, with Scottish Power.

£21/month. Laptop + external monitor, phone/tablet chargers, cooker, cooker hood, fridge/freezer, washing machine, LED lights. Air-con and lawn mower used during the summer.

Ours is about £1500 a year combined. That with EDF variable prepay, 3 kids under 7years old, small 3 bed semi with wall/loft insulation, double glazing and gas central heating, gas cooker/hob. We haven't put the heating on yet bcus of long johns and dressing gowns/slippers. The house in incredibly heat energy efficient. We only need heating on in the colder dec/jan/feb months for 30 mins and that will last most the day with maybe another 30 mins later in the evening.

The main cost for us is leccy and the culprits are the kettle, fridgefreezer, washing machine, dishwasher & occasional use of rig/projector/av receiver/big telly & 10.5kw electric shower.

I had an email off petrolprices.com and were in the process of switching to ovo energy. Hopefully it will make a difference.

3 adults in a 4 bed detached. Generally pretty frugal with energy usage. LED lighting mostly and not a great deal of electrical equipment. Not much use of the iron, no tumble dryer etc though the microwave & electric oven get used a fair bit.

4 bed Victorian house with original windows so quite leaky on heat - we average £35electricity and £25 a month gas over the course of a year.

How is your gas bill so low ?

I honestly don't know, but having moved houses a few times over the years it always surprises me how much variation there is even with similar usage. The readings and costs are accurate as we are with Ovo who have exact meter readings from us each month. We are now using less than when we lived in a 1 bed flat several years ago.

The boiler in this place is over 20 years old as well!

149kw last month, total cost £24. Gas was £14.

Large 4 bed detached house

Brand new boiler, underfloor heating throughout, insulated well and the big one....log burner with infinite free logs :)
