Anyway, the 3DS (and 2DS) can both play £DS and DS games. Note that the New 3DS (terrible naming scheme) can play those cartridges, in addition to New 3DS specific games (at the moment only Xenoblade I think).

The eShop does have classic games, check out wikipedia for a full list.

Cool. Thanks. Getting more tempted to get one the more I read but I really shouldn't spend any more on games. Oh well, you only live once.

Add to that: info on Star Fox Zero, expected info on Smash Bros Fighter Ballot (new characters), possible paid DLC for Splatoon, possible Zelda Twilight Princess HD (apparently a leak), possible Pikmin 4 (another apparent leak), possible release date on Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem and possible update on FE: Fates. Otherwise my prediction is the same as the post I've just quoted. I don't expect much from Nintendo, they've really slowed down with the games. Not necessarily a bad thing since I can't afford to buy many games right now anyway. We won't get any news too interesting, but I'll watch this Direct anyway.

Lies! But otherwise, the WiiU is the console that MC would make the most sense on due to the gamepad. It would allow PC like controls to be retained, one can easily mess about with the inventory and do the good-old fashioned guess-work crafting (or just look at the wiki). Otherwise... too late now. Most people already own it on other systems and not many people own a WiiU in the first place. Plus it's a Microsoft game... it would be kinda silly to put a Microsoft published game on a competitor's system (yes MC is on Playstation, but it released before MS bought Mojang).
 
FF7 content in Smash, really didn't see that coming - that announcement has literally taken down neogaf lol. Looking forward to the Smash Bros Direct thing next month :D.

Oh and we got some new Zelda U footage - very little footage, but it's something! (

I want to know what that book attached to his belt is for! (seems to be another hint towards the Sheikah). That's a big sword, too :cool:.

I doubt that anything will change with the visuals at this point. Its definitely not one of the best looking Wii U games, but that's the price we pay for 60fps and the hardware having to render a second view of the game world on the gamepad.
