I like the spikes on the front, that could be useful for standing it to light at the floor only

What are people's thoughts on the LED Lenser 8307 M7?

It's on offer today for £21.99
Lumens: 220
Doesnt seem very impressive, I would recommend buying from amazon as you can send it back if its not quite right.

The Fenix I mentioned a year ago reduced from 60 to 10 was pretty great, very well made. The cheap chinese one is still going too almost two years though a bit wobbly now, it was only a few quid and will light up an area with a decent battery in it

Hi,

Ive just bought an LED Lenser P7.2 for work, how do you guys rate them?

I've got one, it's very very good. Got it after the switch went on my cheap Chinese knock off. No messing about with unusual batteries etc. so you can get batteries anywhere in an emergency which is a bonus.

Most people in here will tell you it's over priced but I'm not sure I'd agree.

It's not all about the lumens.

My best light (Haiku XPG) is only 138 lumens.

They are excellent units, robust. I've had an MT7 in regular service for 3.5 years now. The only thing I have done is regreased the seals and torch body under the throw adjustment head.

Plenty of light output. I've got a Nitecore TM36 in my kit for serious range search and rescue work.

Yes :p

While it will be brighter than anything you'll get off the shelf, it won't be 3000 lumens bright, and won't be efficiently driven at that price. The whole torch is cheaper than say a SolarForce emitter alone rated at ~900 real lumens.

Do i just use the regular batteries supplied or buy some rechargeable ones?
I would recommend buying two sets of some good rechargeable ones..
Keep one set in the torch and the spare set fully charged.

But then again I use my torches all the time and I would go through a set of battery's most days where some people only use there torch for about 5 minute once a month or so.

Always get the urge to get a light or two once the dark nights arrive and whilst waiting for the Zebralight SC600 MkIII I've ordered this one:

http://www.banggood.com/BLF-A6-CREE...odized-EDC-LED-Flashlight-18650-p-998021.html

You can get the anodized version also:

http://www.banggood.com/BLF-A6-CREE-XPL-1600LM-7-4modes-EDC-LED-Flashlight-p-991823.html

Using code 8d7e0d and going for Priority Direct Mail the I got it for £20.45 shipped.

This was designed by the budgetlightforum and pumps out about 1200 lumens, I opted for the 3d tint.
