Hi guys, after a little help. Today I used my Eagletac D25A click with 14500 battery at work on low power to look inside a machine, about 15 minutes later I went to use it again and it was dead, I swapped in a standard Duracell AA and it works fine. I measured the 14500 and its reading 0v, is it likely to recover from this? Should I try it in my charger?
Thanks
The protection circuit has tripped on it, you can reset it by simply putting it in the charger.
I'm still looking for a torch with a decent flood, preferably a Chinese make (as it will be cheaper out here)? Probably in the range £40 to £60.
I've been using an Ultrafire C8 for several years now. It doesn't seem as bright as it once was, and it's too beamy - I need something to look into ballast tanks of ships so reach isn't so important.
I've seen the Nitecore EA41 selling for £43 out here - is that quite floody? Also, someone mentioned it takes 4xAA rather than a rechargeable battery so he didn't recommend it (I don't really understand why not, can't I just get rechargeable AAs for it?).
Anything better on the market at the moment?
Would I need an adapter for the charger as well if it's from USA?
What an incredible thread this is, some serious bed time reading here.
I'm looking for a very compact but bright torch to use for walking the dog at night. Looks like after doing some reading what I can here and watching Youtube I'm going for a Nitecore MH20. Before I pull the trigger is there anything else similar I should consider. I'm not interested in Chinese junk.
This is excellent if you want a side switch:
