Finally got the first boss! Felt so good! Was tempted to try a companion and held off for 1 final try and did it! Was a bit of a messy fight. Nice lore around the boss too which i enjoy!
 
This game has a serious problem with large bosses having a bunch of moves that you cant discern in the moment because they have some obsession with fancy, wavy details on the bosses. Makes it super hard to actually learn boss patterns and overcome them because it's just a wild mess.

I found that to be the case with amelia and bsb! Madness.

Rarely use the share feature but heres my fight with the 1st dlc boss using blade of mercy if anyones interested! A bit of a mess at the start but i get a pattern down towards the end.. kind of lol

Got through the first 3 DLC boss fights.

1st fight was a challenge but once you learn the timing on the Phase 2 attacks they become super easy to dodge so got it down after a few tries in that phase.

2nd boss fight is a bit of a joke to be honest. No challenge at all. The boss has a huge parry window so if you avoid the magic attack that comes out once or twice during the fight it's a done deal.

Enjoyed the level to reach the boss though...enemies are individually weak but gang up on you quickly and hit hard.

3rd boss fight took 2 attempts but I really enjoyed the fight - it was a pretty epic duel. Phase 2 caught me out first time, and Phase 3 on the 2nd attempt had me down to 5% health a bunch of times. It was pretty damn close. I tanked a hit to pull off a parry, recover my health by dashing in to get the parry attack and had I not done I think I was finished.

Even though it only took 2 tries It was deff one of the msot fun humanoid boss Souls fights I've had to date.

Just about to try 4th boss later. I just spend last night dying to the brain frenzy enemies as I'd ditched all my frenzy resist stuff from the base game for some daft reason. Oops.

Think I may be near the end as I cross checked the weapon list and I've managed to find all but 3 of them. Thoroughly enjoyed it though. Hopefully the end boss is a challenge.

Oh, dammit! More Brain Trusts?!?

They're my absolute #1 most hated enemy in the entire game.
 
Are you on an NG+ blitz? He seems to have a more limited moveset than he is using with me in your video.

I am quite tempted to start a new run because this is nails. I have gone back to an old save so that I can use Valtr as in my original save I killed him when I first met him.

Finally got him down. Kept Valtr alive as well (he might tell it differently but I reckon I did the meat of the damage). NG+ is just hard in this DLC.

Maybe a good idea the fez :(

Done the next 2 bosses tnite! 2nd one was so basic it was a bit of a waste imo and most souls games have a boss of this style, but enjoyed the 3rd more.

Im a full skill character at the moment and so far most equipment im finding is for strength builds or others which is a shame, maybe theres more to come still as i havent finished it yet.
 
I'm on NG+ 3 or 4 or something. No idea really - but yeah it wasn't my vid.

Just noticed I missed an optional boss so just trying to do that now. 5% health twice on this and the end boss now. Booo.


Hardest fight has been those 2 sea giants for the weapon they drop. I couldn't do it without cheesing it from the ledge. They hit too hard and was taking too long to keep them separated.


Guess i'll give this boss another run. The 2nd phase seems to be causing me more issues - just need patience

2 sea giants? Arethey down the well? Didnt realise theres optional bosses in the dlc :O hopefully i stumble across it!
 
Yeah down the well - you end up fighting both and it's brutal like - at least in NG+++ etc. 1 hit is death. So I didn't feel bad for cheesing it.

You will have been to the area but you go back later with an item. The item description is not cryptic - it tells you where to go.

Still not won yet but only tried 5 times. Do so little damage that I run out of patience and just charge in.

Ok! Just give me a hint, should i have tis item by the time i reached the lamp after this well? Need to re read some as i have a few that i am sure must do something cool!

Actually dont worry i think i know what the item is but i tried to use it at an area in the normal game not the dlc, thought if i went to the great bridge with it something might happen but alas nothing happened, ;) will have a look later

Yeah I think the item is in clear view if I remember right.

Given you went to the great bridge, it sounds like you are looking at the correct item. Just go to where that boss is in the DLC (probably seen it already)

I'm sure this fight should be easier but I've gave up after 7 attempts. None of the other bosses took this many tries yet I think they ought to have been harder. Weird.

Yea the first boss was a challeneg but the others not so much! Yea i know where i should go then i think, cheers! Love the lore

Dont give up :D what sort of build are you using? Thing is i want a new skill weapon but when i finish the dlc i probably wont really have a want to play ant more :(
 
Yeah I have the same issue. I'm just using the Ludwig Holy Sword from base game. I wanted to use a new weapon but haven't found enough chunks yet to reach +10. (I found the dlc blood rock though).

Like you, I won't wanna go through it again after this - but I own it digitally so what I'll prob do is just use 2-3 DLC weapons on a fresh run in a years time or something.

I don't game much anymore and I'm in the process moving 300 miles - while contemplating an offer to emigrate to Iceland instead so gaming time is only going to lessen - I'm just trying to get through this DLC this weekend in case I dont have much time for 3-4 months.

I've enjoyed the new challenge though so far. I will jump on now for another 45 mins of attempts!
 
Well, pat on the back for myself. Beat Cleric Beast first time.

Just wondered around his legs using a charged attack and dodged back to heal.

Was on the edge of my seat, rocking, adrenaline rush etc lol Phew! Hit the lamp so I can have a rest now.

Yea i find thats a good strategy for a few of the bogger bosses mate, well done! Can really get the blood pumping cant it!

Think im at the last boss on dlc, pretty good package overall. I think £15 is too high for any dlc but its had a good amount of content and has made the can feel even more complete

Will be hitting around 40 hours once i'm complete (DLC area only), for £15 i'm fine with and really enjoyed it.

this DLC got to be hardest thing i've ever played, last level just destroys me (start) and final boss move set is crazy :(
