*** The Official Bloodborne Thread ***

Will be hitting around 40 hours once i'm complete (DLC area only), for £15 i'm fine with and really enjoyed it.

this DLC got to be hardest thing i've ever played, last level just destroys me (start) and final boss move set is crazy :(

You got great value then if the dlc has lasted you 40 hrs! Gg! Yea im on last boss now too! Can get to about a quarter health then he dicks me :)

I got close on the end boss twice but messed up at the end as he has a lunge that is sometimes hard to read if your camera angle isn't right and for me it's a 1 hit KO so if I don't see it coming it's game over.

I'll be having another wack at it after watching last nights Blues game

Gascoigne was super easy for me but I did cheese him a bit - easy to get him stuck in an attack loop on the other side of a row of gravestones where he can't hit you but you can hit him with something long ranged like the transformed cane. He can smash his way through in beast form but should be nearly dead by then.

Most likely not, Khrest. I ran into the sewers, and through that way. Shortly before is a brick giant (we'll call him) and shoves a flaming boulder across a bridge, then he is around the corner.

I don't know any shortcuts :(

Maybe look up a quick vid about the shortcuts as its hard to explain but as above it opens an elevator that brings you straight to that bridge with the flaming ball! Also dont be afraid to just run past enemies when retrying bosses

Right before you cross that bridge with the flaming ball, to your left, there is a little elevator. This takes you to an area where you can easily access by either the Great Bridge lamp or the main Central Yarnham lamp.

Argghh, this expansion is classic bloodborne. You nearly give up, finally get a little lucky or a litter better and complete the section/boss that you could get past 100 times.... then the next section kicks your ass just as hard.

Sometimes you really have to just come back to these games. I had like 12 failed attempts at a boss in the DLC then gave up and just went out for the night and got drunk.
Woke up tired at 6am after just 4 hours sleep and beat the boss first try with ease...lol

Weird..but not gonna argue with it.

Just the end boss to go now!

I've watched vids on NG at lower levels and boy it looks so much easier. The boss attacks take 20% health off but to me they take 80% for the same attack. If the end boss hits me twice with anything i'm dead. And that electric shock attack that covers the floor??? Instant kill on me with full health. And I have 1700+ health...booo!! lol
Maybe if i buff my lightning resist I can survive it...it's got me 3 times now as the other attacks are fairly easy to dodge.

I have hit a wall with the final dlc boss :( will do what you did and come back after a night away from it. This strat has helped me before :D

Uggg i finished the game ages ago and started a NG+ but i dont think i can get into the DLC until i beat the boss in cathedral ward agin! Uggggg

Is there an easy way to find out how much to the game you have done on NG+??

And as above came back tonight! Tried a new weapon that i found, upped it to +10 and beat the final boss first time! Was banging my head against this ******* for ages :D got the optional to do

What was the weapon you used against the last boss. I'm struggling with him a lot. I have struggled with the first and last bosses. The middle 2 were quite easy.

Im specced for skill weapons, was originally using blade of mercy but you have to be really close to hit the target. I beat him with Rakuyo+10 which is a skill based weapon found in the dlc

Got the last trophy and finished off the final main game boss to end the playthrough and pretty much wraps up the game. No more dlc coming and no real reason to play more now really!

Roll on dark souls 3! Not too excited for it as i have been in the past as i think its starting to become too much of a good thing but we will see!

What sort of level should I aim to buy and start DLC at? I just beat Blood Starved and Amelia is next on my hitlist, around level 40 currently. Can I just carry on to mid game and then buy the DLC, go back and start it?
Also, can you drop in and out of the DLC and do other things in the base game, or once you are in it, are you committed to working through it? I've been trying to avoid spoilers in reviews, so forgive the questions.

I would be about lvl60+ before hitting the dlc but you will soon find out if you are underlevelled when you get inside!

You are free to go back and forth between the main game and the dlc. There is just a separate headstone for the DLC at the top of the hill in the hunters workshop.

I got right up to the last boss before starting the dlc, about level 65 is recommended i think and that provided a good challenge, normal enemies were fine and the bosses were a good fight!

Yep you can warp in and out as if its any other lamp/area. Do you know the main game well? Because once you beat the last boss it instantly restarts as ng+ so be warned not to go too far before doing the dlc :D

Or am I screwed and will need to start over?

Thanks
