It never happened to me until this game. Souls games i kepts my cool but once or twice in BB i try to twist the pad in two! Lol and it would go too :D

The rubber on the sticks has started to come off and since playing the dlc r1 is getting a bit stuck, weird!

I put these cheap little caps on the sticks quite early on because the rubber coming off is a very widespread problem.

Anyways, I got the Bloodborne guide yesterday. MAN, I really messed up just about every single NPC quest so far. And one major one, apparently. I'm not using the guide as a walkthrough, but I'll definitely be referencing it as I go along to make sure I haven't skipped over something in an area that I've just gone through or am not making choices that are ruining my ability to finish NPC quests(which there aren't many left to ruin at this point...). I really dont like that about these games. They're just a little too esoteric at times and you can easily ruin something for yourself because of things you could never possibly know about without looking it up.

Boy I suck at this. Level 41 and got nailed in 10s by the Vicar. I look up Youtube videos and she just stands there letting people smack her about, with me she moves like lightening and my rolls are never quick enough.
Also, why do I find I can never get a Visceral after staggering a mob from the front, I've read the guide and watched videos, I can stagger them but the visceral just becomes a normal R1 attach.
I suck...

Rom's really all about getting lucky. There's some strategy involved obviously, but surviving the encounter seems to largely rely on good fortune in how the spider minions crowd around.

I also get one-shot by a jumping attack by the minions, which is really annoying. Not putting a lot of points into vitality is kinda hurting here.

DS4 thumbsticks started peeling straight away so I bought covers. Bloodborne killed my R2 trigger but I managed to fix it with replacement. It's a nice pad but probably the cheapest built official pad ever.

Gotta say, the consistency of quality from area to area is really amazing in this game. All the other Souls games have a fair few low points with areas that are badly designed or just a bit forgettable, but not so here. At least not so far. Every single place is a joy to discover and explore(although rewards for exploration aren't as good as in other games for a few reasons...). Unlocking important shortcuts or just seeing how one area connects to another and having those, "Oh ok, I'm here again" moments are really nice. There's very few throwaway areas or design elements(except maybe weapon durability, why the hell does this even exist in this game?).

I like it in this game as it's not too drastic and weapons don't degrade from hitting walls/objects.

There's more hidden things I didn't except to see. The eyes on the back of the dolls eyeballs for instance when the camera clips into her head.

My only complaint about the game is it's too easy to miss things. Bar following a guide, how are you supposed to capture everything the game has to offer in a play through?

Still, been my GOTY.

You 'like it' because it's not ever an issue. You dont have to manage your weapon's durability whatsoever. Just remember to spend a couple echoes every 4th or 5th trip to the Hunter's Dream. They might as well have taken it out of the game cuz it plays no role at all.

Minor complaint, but I just dont get their thinking behind including it other than it being in other Souls games.

Anyways, I haven't played in a few days. Got to the Yarghul Village or whatever and it's brutal with the 'gimmick' of the area(dont want to spoil it).

Finally beat the last boss in the DLC on NG+. I did a bit of Chalice dungeon stuff and pretty much finished off the story after hitting a wall against him and the extra damage and health I gained made a big difference. Either way, hes a hard muvver.
