***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

Speaking of minifigs, the latest series has been leaked and looks pretty good :)

I will just get all the ones carrying a sword or spear of some sort for my son and maybe the spaceman. Can't see he will be into the rest :D

The warrior ones always go with his castle stuff. :)

I have tried to get him into the lego space stuff but it's pretty much all Marvel these days :(

The spaceman has some nice details on it I noticed.

It's really not that hard to bricklink it. I had planned to finish before Christmas but then Fallout 4.

You can see where I've substituted different coloured pieces to keep costs down. (Black 16x1 - Black L shapes - black ships masts - black aerials - blue long pins)

Excuse my ignorance but is there somewhere i can buy all the parts to build this? I checked out bricklink briefly (at work) but it seemed like a site to buy and sell lego.

I really want to build this!

Err...

:p

Either fork out for the original set (lol), or source parts from eBay, Bricklink or Lego's own pick a brick. Some of them are rare as rocking horse **** however and you will end up subbing them for alternatives.

It will still cost a small fortune though.

That Typhoon is awesome.

Did anyone get the Daily Fail set today? It's a Joker in a bumper car. Might see if there's a place near me so I can grab one after work.

Dear James,

Thanks for getting in touch with us.

I’m sorry there’s a problem with your LEGO® Ideas set 21303 WALL·E.

Like you, we’re big fans of this bold little robot and we wanted to make sure that LEGO WALL·E was just as fun as the character in the film. For that reason, we gave LEGO WALL·E the ability to turn his head all the way around.

However, as we’ve since heard that some fans feel WALL·E’s head moves a little too freely, we’ve decided to take their advice and make some improvements to the set. Our designers have finished their redesign and we hope to send out new instructions and pieces in the next week or two.

If the postal address you emailed in with is not the one you'd like us to send the pieces to, could please email us back with the postal address that would be good for us to ship to. We’ll get back in touch as soon as the new solution’s available.

If you have any more questions or concerns, please contact us again. I hope you have a great day and I hope you enjoy your new 21303 Wall-E set!

We want to make sure we're doing a good job for you, so you’ll always find the link to a four-question survey in our emails. Please tell us how we did today:

Can I ask what replacement parts were sent to you?

Just spent too much on lego but had to do it, just brought the death star and the tumbler because they been marked up as retiring soon.

Got told the Tumbler was being retired when last in the Lego store. Hopefully I'll pick one up before Christmas before it's too late. Perhaps I should have bought it instead of Slave 1.

I'm tempted by it. That's one of those sets which could potentially be worth a few grand in a few years time.

I'm going to need a warehouse at this rate

Maybe, but unlike stuff like the Millennium Falcon, UCS Shuttle etc. it seems to have been in production for a lot longer, so there will be more sets "out there". Not sure how unique the minifigs you get with it are, but if they are set-specific and due to the amount of them, that might go a long way to making the price creep up.

Normally I get an itch when a big set approaches retirement, but to be honest I've never really been a fan of this particular Death Star model. I much prefer 10143.
