Do you buy less from ocuk now?

The only thing I'm not liking lately is the flat £9.90 delivery charge for everything. Even if it's just 2 small fittings... I've had my account for 9 years and have spent thousands.

But to be fair the service is exceptional so I don't think it'll stop me buying here. The only time I buy elsewhere is when OcUK don't stock what I need which is rare.

9 years is plenty of time to hit 100 posts and get free delivery.

i have one of the devs on my facebook, and he has been showing me some of the nice little things that are behind the scenes that do make this site a lot better function wise, but i still think it is far too cluttered. I would like a simplied version!

My last order from here was in May 2013. Since I moved to Apple and stopped gaming OcUK really don't sell much that interests me any longer. Peripherals tend to be cheaper elsewhere.

The site doesn't put me off but it is no attraction either. Way too 'active' - the mouse rollover actions over product listings are truly terrible. Like some updated news websites, it looks like it was designed more with the advertisers and product manufacturers in mind, instead of the customers.

Aye bud, expensive items get next day DPD, some items get Royal Mail next day and the cheaper stuff gets Royal Mail 2nd class.

Well worth it if you are not in a rush for smaller bits.

Less, I used to use ocuk 99% of the time due to the slickness of the old site. Now the new one is like most other e-shops (ie: a pain to use and messy) I tend to buy from whoever is cheapest.

Sorry ocuk, but you did it :D

Thanks for the feedback guys.

As I am sure you have all seen already, in the other threads about this sort of topic, we are making improvements all the time and fixing small things as quickly as we can.

Ultimately your shopping experience has been impacted and we are working to improve that. You need to remember that everyone at ocuk has been looking at this site for a much longer time than all of you so we are kind of used to it. having your feedback really does help and our web team and management have not just a list of website improvements to make but also a list of service improvements too.

The layout of the new site is top of our list and streamlining it is key from the feedback that you, our customers, have given us.

This isn't the sort of thing that changes over night but we are listening and every piece of constructive feedback in this thread has been taken on board.

I can't say much more but we are discussing a lot of the stuff raised in this thread internally to help with taking things to the next level.

in the meantime, we have a few other ideas which are in the early stages but will benefit customers more if they are viable.

I have to say that I buy less now , partly due to the fact that I'm not getting items the next day as promised ( I am ordering within the time frame )and partly due to the fact no haribo with my orders and also due sometimes to the state of the box my order is in , and no I dont like the new site , but, having said all that I will continue to buy from Ocuk ...but not as much as I used to .

I do find it amazing how many people claim they are ordering less because they aren't getting a 2p pack of Haribo with their order. It has gone from being a nice fringe benefit to being a requirement. Crazy.

Can't argue with that tbh Rich, I am sure you saw on Facebook my initial thoughts and the subsequent comments from one of the development team. Every time I see something wrong I message him and he sorts it out ASAP. I can't argue with their dedication or work and I know a few things will improve soon!

Due to the size of the overhaul was never going to make everyone happy, but I think it was just too much too soon. Glad you guys are taking all the criticism on board though, well, when it is constructive =D

People make a joke of the free Haribos buddy :p

I find the new site a bit more awkward to navigate, but I do appreciate the usefulness of the price filters (particularly when going through the TWO list).

As a lot have already I find the new site much harder to navigate than the old site. It looks a lot more cluttered as well.

I don't have a problem with the website but that being said, anything I want is normally cheaper elsewhere and I can normally order for same day delivery.

A combination of the new website and the changes on free delivery for forums members has definitely stopped me from buying things from OcUK, which is a shame.

The old website was much easier to navigate, and only being given the option of free 2nd class delivery on some bits and bobs meant I just paid a few quid elsewhere and got it much sooner.

What have I missed? What are the changes to free delivery for forum members?
