Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [18th - 21st December 2015]

I've read a few reports from pundits saying that 'Chelsea should've played like today all season' and things like 'it's clear they weren't playing for the manager previously' after today's performance which is a load of old ********.
We were reasonable in the first half and bearable in the second but Sunderland are the 2nd worse side I've seen this season (sorry Villa) they really are that bad, so trying to take anything (other than 3 points) from the game is ridiculous, I'm sure some pundits don't actually watch games.

Well, it's a point i guess..

And a welcome point it was too ;):o:D

Really? I actually saw it on Twitter then googled it and a few online sites, including the Metro (not that that means anything) seem to be going with it

I'm guessing you've seen it from Utd fans on twitter rather than any journalists? Only when I searched on twitter did anything come up - nothing at all from any journo's I follow.

I haven't seen anything anywhere credible, but it's fair to assume there will be discussions taking place. If Mourinho was open to taking the job and a couple of transfer targets were available in January, it could line up nicely.

I really don't think they'll sack him though, I just can't see it for some reason. Even though we're now not 4th (on goal difference), and out of the CL, and the fans are in revolt.

They have to sack him because we are in a sharp decline and the squad needs money spent in January. Do you let LvG waste that money and end up out of the top 4 then try and persuade a top manager to take the job without CL.
