** Star Wars Episode VII - SPOILERS WITHIN **

the flash back she has reveals more than you get chance to see on the first watch, watch again and you take in all the details, Luke and her have a history, either as father/daughter or apprentice/master, being 30 years after the battle of endor, it is entirely possibly that Luke is her father.

I also think Kylo nows the link or atleast suspects it, during the torture scene, he said he can see the ocean and an island. Which is exactly where Luke was. On an island in the middle of the ocean.

ahh I see it now , she's the offspring of Luke and an Ewok, you can't normally tell from looking but stripped off and she's really bushy down there

Well major characters include Shaak Ti (Jedi Master on the council) and Ahsoka Tano, Anakin's Padawan.

Then of course there are loads in the extended universe which isn't canon any more but people like Bastila Shan from Kotor, Mara Jade Skywalker, Jaina Solo etc.

And then unnamed but featured in the films include all the female jedi seen mostly in Attack of The Clones.

Neither of those first 2 were in the Episodic films, were they? Are all female Jedi in the Clone Wars or other supporting series, some of which, as you say, have now been cut off.

I'm pretty sure I've never seen a female Jedi in Episodes 1 through 6? But its been a while so I could be wrong. Were there any girls in the younglings in 1 to 3?

I think Dano (and others) need a second viewing to pick up on things they have missed, or to reinterpret the scenes.

EasyRider? Are you an academic? (You have mentioned to 'teach' film and/or media previously) if you are, can you link me to some of your stuff?

Shaak Ti appears in the films quite a bit, not with many speaking roles though (like most of the other masters on the council) Ahsoka Tano appears on The Clone Wars as well as Rebels (both of which ARE canon)

And as I've said, multiple female jedi appear in Episode 2 and possibly 3 to a lesser extent.

There are literally female Jedi's in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (George Lucas, 2002) and Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (George Lucas, 2005).

Luke is the obvious father, but that's super lazy writing.

Jedi shouldn't have families so I doubt it will be one of the old Jedi Council.

It could be a complete randomer, she is the first female Jedi after all, so maybe the Force is working in mysterious ways.

That said, did we ever find out who Anakins father was?

Not necessarily there could be lots of new beings strong with the force so I guess we have to wait and see. There were lots of female Jedi's in the prequels and animated series, definitly not the first but perhaps in a long time.

Shmi explained it was a virgin birth so in a way Anakin was conceived by the midi-chlorians/force.

My Jedi knowledge is weak, I bow to your superior memory master :).

Have we abandoned spoiler tags now?

Would any rule stop us from opening new thread with SPOILERS: DO NOT ENTER in the subject?

I'm not sure whether I liked the film or not, so many things just seemed wrong...

Am I wrong in thinking that Luke's lightsaber that he created was green NOT blue in the film? Isn't that the whole point of the ending to E6 where Vader congratulates in on becoming a true jedi knight for creating his own?
