I'd like to lose our bluray player from the playroom when the XBox One is put in the tv cabinet. Is the XBox One an adequate bluray player?

We only watch films in there via the TV stereo speakers over HDMI.

Anyone? Surely someone has played a bluray on one of these to comment how friendly it is?

I think it's great, nice and quick, you can get the entire menu with a single button click. We watched the entire Lost bluray boxset on it and didn't encounter a single issue.

Blu ray player has been fine on mine\my girlfriends xbox. The xbox remote is fantastic and I'd recommend a kinect too to contol all your other items (av amp, tv)

You can also get an ir blaster to connect to xbox to control other devices. I'd recommend either with the remote (fantastic remote)

I've found it to be very good, especially with the media remote.

I can only assume it's because we watch TV and all media through the Xbox, or because when my wife plays I'm also logged in.

With the deals going on at the moment tempted to pick up a Xbone. I have a PS4 and PC but kinda miss some of the exclusives Do you think it's worth picking up now or just waiting it out to see if it drops anymore?

I believe it's tracking how long you're on XBL, rather than game time. I do TV and I have the Kinect, so always connected despite doing something else in the room or else where.

So I bought the kids an Xbone for Crimbo, Fifa16 edition and got Starwars Battlefront and Black Ops3 with it, Im guessing the Fifa16 is a code to download the game though?

Wife wrapped it up before I had a chance to plug it in, which has left me wondering when I first fire it up, how long its going to take to update etc, im not bothered about Fifa16 as the boys are 7 and 4 and wont be interested in that as much as me same with Black Ops3, however I got them Lego Dimensions and some other Lego games to play.

So really just wondering how much downtime the consoles going to have before they can actually use it.

Update it now. On xmas Day there is DDOS planned so you wont get online for 2-3 days at all.

Fifa 16, Metal Gear, Tomb Raider and the Uncharted Collection will keep me more than happy offline if some ******** group take the servers down.

Gents,

Got my XBONE for Xmas today and all updated now etc. However the Range on this controller is shocking! The Xbox is in my office and distributed around the house via a HDMI matrix. In the bedroom only 3metres away..... Constant drop outs. Then lounge straight line 4metres away below the office nothing at all!!!

Anyone else had this issue?
