if i had 2 x titan x though i would be waiting for the Acer 27in ips 165hz Gsync, with the zero frame . i wanted 3 of these but my 2x 980ti sc would struggle to get even get 60fps on max settings with the res 7680x1440p . im now waiting in for my X34 which im not holding my breath for as i do not trust the courier .(worst ever courier) .(and not bought from here )

or 3 x the Dell 144hz 27in ..i even considered that but again my cards would have been working with no gain .

I got mine today from at 5.30pm after wating all day ..This is my second screen 1st was from here ..This second is from a well known catalogue ..well ...


IT'S PANTS ..I've been sent a customer return ..it's been clearly used ..I knew it even before opening the box ..I'm assuming this was sent direct from Acer themselves ..The security taped had been re taped ..opened the box to find all the accessories had been opened and there is white paint on the end of the power lead (the bit that goes into the monitor) .

Then I took monitor put to find its was a complete and utter nightmare ..it's looks like the previous owner has wiped it with a dirty dish cloth ad the smearing on the screen is bad ..

How the hell so they expect to get away with this kind of behaviour?

Now I have to wait until it's collected checked over and then my partial refund ( £ 580 due to having to clear my balance that was not even due for another 11 months )

I know I couldn't wait any longer as I really can't live without gsync now Ive tasted it .

I powered the monitor and to find the backlight bleed was not too bad and it clocks to 100hz fine with no sign of coil whine ..I mean if the monitor was brand new I would have kept it ..not a chance being a returned screen ..it's a September build.

I will be asking for my money back and just get a dell TN gsync .

What a joke acer are .
 
Yeah this is not on at all, but as said for a the sake of a clean I'd consider keeping it, after all you could get another with coil whine max 90hz O/C and bad scan lines, then you will be raging.

I am tempted to keep it but the top and bottom left corners have now got pretty bad with BLB now ans it's now snoring in dark scenes .

What really has annoyed me is that all call of duty games can only do 100hz at 2560x1440p and the games look very blurry being stretched as I found out that they are not supported and this has realy put me off now . I solved the metal gear solid game. It turns out 80% of my games before 2014 are not supported ..

And the thing is I keep it and this just makes the company don't his even more and more to customers and think it's ok to give people used monitors .


I'm gutted very gutted .

Even the nvidia Gsync badge is worn where they have wiped it with a wet cloth .

What brightness setting are you using? Put a pic up if you can showing us a representation of your BLB.

Never had a problem with mine in the latest COD pretty sure 3440*1440 came up in the menu along with 100hz limit, never changed a thing nor did it look stretched, maybe some-one else can confirm.
 
mine has some glowing in top left and bottom left - its noticeable when looking at on black screen but I feel it doesn't effect the overall quality of the game so its not a problem...

Same as someone at work with the Acer 27" IPS they got a customer return too in bad condition. Least yours worked there's was faulty!
I got my Asus PG279Q from same etailer as you. Looks like it came direct from Asus too. Perfect IPS 165mhz GSync 1440p loveliness.
Sorry that felt like I was rubbing it in.........;)
Still put a review up on the site tho !

Just order one on the deal.
Hopefully arriving tomorrow with no problems some people have had.
Never had 21:9, G-Sync or curved before. Looking forward to it.
Anyone running this on a 780? How high can you crank it usually?

Lol its meant to say showing lol ...I've been using my phone to type lol ..does look funny ..and can't get black ops 3 to work at 100hz on 3440x1440 .it's only gives me the option of 59.975hz. .unless I change it to 2560x1440 then I can choose 99.975hz ..This is multilayer by the way and not tried single player ..The game looks so washed put snd stretched ..its also documented that cod is not supported for 21.9 ultrawide .
